There’s little doubt that the series between the reigning champions Doosan Bears and the KBO leaders NC Dinos will be entertaining. Both sides have traded blows already this season and I’m certainly curious to see what happens this week.

Let’s not forget that the Bears are four wins behind the opponent, so beating NC twice would reduce the gap significantly and open the door to the top spot in the standings.

The NC Dinos were the masters of finding wins in various ways early in the season. They have lost some of their consistency in the past month or so which has allowed several teams to come close in the KBO standings.

The Dinos are still leading the way, but they need some wins to keep it that way. The team is expected to start Myung Gi Son against the Bears. He’s been solid up to this point, but he lost his only start so far. It’s hard to predict if he can cope with one of the offensive sides in South Korea in one of his rare starts.

I believe that this match is almost unpredictable and could easily go either way. That’s why the price of +125 for the Bears to win looks way too high. The team’s offense can explode in any single game and I won’t be shocked to see that on Thursday.
