The Doosan Bears vs. KIA Tigers odds are pretty much what I expected to see by the leading baseball betting sites online. I still think they might be underestimating one of the teams, as my dissection of both sides will show you.

I thought that the Doosan will lose the opening game of the series, but the pitching was better than expected and the offense did just enough for the win. The second clash should be much easier for the Bears because they are starting one of their best pitchers.

Won Joon Choi has been phenomenal this season and led the team to victory in all of his nine starts. He managed to contain opponents with a much better offense than the Tigers and his ERA over the last 30 days is just above 2.50.

If you add Doosan’s strong offense, the Bears should feel confident for the upcoming clash.

The Tigers had a good chance to win in the series opener and they certainly regret missing it. For the second game of the series, KIA is expected to star Drew Gagnon. The American’s stats over the course of the season are solid, but he’s been far from his best in the past 30 days or so.

Gagnon has struggled against opponents with an elite offense and the Bears certainly fall into that category. He can’t rely on too much from his own batters either, so I expect the Tigers to have a rough one on Friday.

I believe that the Doosan Bears will win the second game of the series as well and it might be much easier than the opener. They are sending their best pitcher against the Tigers and they have a strong offense, so the price of +115 for the favorite to cover the -1.5 handicap looks like the best pick.
