Sleeper Picks for the 2021 NASCAR Dixie Vodka 400

| February 24, 2021 8:46 am PDT

The next stop on the NASCAR Cup Series is the Homestead-Miami Speedway this Sunday, February 28, for the 2021 Dixie Vodka 400.

It’s fair to say that things haven’t quite gone according to plan so far this season, with longshot bets paying out for Michael McDowell and Christopher Bell in the first two races of the campaign.

Will there be another surprise winner this weekend? Well, there are some drivers with big odds worth a look. I’ll be covering the best sleeper picks for the Dixie Vodka 400 and highlighting the ones you need to know about.

If you’re looking to win money gambling on the Dixie Vodka 400, here are my sleeper tips for NASCAR this weekend.

Ryan Blaney +2000

The first of my sleeper bets for the Dixie Vodka 400 is Ryan Blaney.

No, your eyes do not deceive you. Blaney is +2000 with the best NASCAR betting apps to win at Homestead this Sunday.

He is an excellent Dixie Vodka 400 sleeper, given the fact that he gets better results every time he races here.

Last season, Blaney finished 3rd in this race. If his trend at this track continues, he will do better than 3rd. So the question is, will you take his big odds to win the Dixie Vodka 400 this weekend?

If you’re not sold on the idea, how about this next guy.

Tyler Reddick +2200

Reddick is the second of my Dixie Vodka 400 sleepers.

I like Reddick’s odds of upsetting the status quo here.

Reddick was fourth in last year’s edition of the race and well worth some pocket change for this one. Providing he doesn’t have another brain fart, he could be in the mix for another result.

The youngster has a lot to prove this season. He hasn’t hit the ground running like some of the other youngsters of NASCAR, but this is the perfect opportunity to rectify that.

Add these odds, Reddick is a good sleeper bet for the 2021 Dixie Vodka 400.

Christopher Bell +3000

If you’re wagering on Christopher Bell to win the Dixie Vodka 400, you’ll probably be encouraged by his early-season form.

Bell finished 16th at the Daytona 500 before winning last weekend’s race at the Daytona Road Course. It was an excellent achievement for the youngster, who will be eyeing up another win this Sunday.

I like the combination of early-season form and big odds, so I have earmarked this one for anyone making sleeper picks for the Dixie Vodka 400. Be sure to give him consideration.

Bell’s odds are top value for a young driver that will certainly be in the mix this Sunday.

Aric Almirola +6000

Almirola is my Dixie Vodka 400 longshot at +6000.

A fifth-place finish last year was a solid return for The Cuban Missile, who has a better record at this track than his odds suggest.

His best finish here is 4th, but he has also picked up a decent 7th place finish at Homestead back in 2012.

I have no hesitation adding Almirola to my list of 2021 Dixie Vodka 400 sleeper bets. He has proven to have the knack here and could cause an upset this weekend.

Closing Thoughts on My Dixie Vodka 400 Sleepers

Given the unpredictable nature of the first two races of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series, it’s even more important to look for betting value in the mid to back field.

I’ve done that for you and provided four solid Dixie Vodka 400 sleepers and longshots to get on.

There are some nice odds up there, but it’s up to you who you back this weekend.

Good luck with your bets!
