The Falcons finally tallied one in the win column, thrashing off of the Minnesota Vikings 40-23 as 4-point road underdogs in Week 6. After five straight losses, the Falcons decided to fire Dan Quinn and shake things a bit, and the team responded well in a tough road matchup with the Vikings.

Matt Ryan destroyed Minnesota’s defense, throwing for 371 yards and four touchdowns. Julio Jones recorded eight receptions for 137 yards and a couple of scores, while Calvin Ridley and Hayden Hurst combined for 118 yards and two touchdowns.

Atlanta is scoring 27.0 points per game (13^th) on 403.2 total yards (4^th). However, the Falcons’ defense is one of the worst in football this season, yielding 30.7 points per outing (28^th) on 432.5 total yards (31^st).

On the other side, the Lions’ have some serious defensive issues, too, and will have a mountain to climb against the Falcons’ potent passing attack. Therefore, I’m looking for a proper high-scoring affair, but buying a few points won’t hurt anyone.
