Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Brandon Moreno 2 – UFC 263

| June 11, 2021 6:38 am PDT

If you’re looking to make money betting on Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Brandon Moreno 2 this Saturday, June 12, this betting preview will help.

The MMA community has been looking forward to this rematch for quite some time, and we’re almost there. These two will clash on the co-main of UFC 263 at the Gila River Arena in Arizona, right before Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori get it on for the second time.

I’ll be looking at the odds for Figueiredo vs. Moreno 2, as well as the best bets to place on the fights. I’ll also provide my predictions and betting pick for the UFC flyweight championship bout, so stick with me for those.

Let’s get this betting preview for the Figueiredo vs. Moreno rematch up and running with my take on who wins the bout.

Figueiredo vs. Moreno 2 – Who Wins?

  • Deiveson Figueiredo by KO/TKO

Despite their first fight being a classic, my predictions and betting pick for Figueiredo vs. Moreno 2 tilt heavily toward a stoppage win for the “God of War.”

Figueiredo had an unbelievable 2020 and pushed his body to its absolute limits. Having taken a six-month break, he’s going to be so dangerous in this rematch. As such, I can’t look past him in this fight and believe he will look better than ever.

More on that later. First, let’s see what the oddsmakers are saying about this one.

Figueiredo vs. Moreno 2 Odds

Deiveson Figueiredo to Win-225
Brandon Moreno to Win+190

Figueiredo’s odds to beat Moreno in the rematch come in at -225.

Despite Moreno taking him to a draw at UFC 256 in December, the Brazilian is favored to retain his title. However, there are a few reasons why I believe the rematch will be a smoother prospect for the former hairdresser, so stay tuned for that.

Moreno’s odds to beat Figueiredo come in at +190.

Tempting? For sure. The Mexican looked excellent in the first bout and took almost everything his opponent had without breaking much of a sweat. But let’s not forget that he benefitted from a point deduction from referee Jason Herzog that ultimately led to the fight ending in a draw.

Best Bets for Figueiredo vs. Moreno 2

Figueiredo to Win-225
Fight Under 4.5 Rounds-135
Figueiredo to Win by KO/TKO/DQ+200

If it’s the top bet for Figueiredo vs. Moreno 2 you’re after, it’s hard to look past a win for the champ.

The odds might not be for everyone, however, especially as the last fight was somewhat close. If you’re thinking that way, a bet on the fight to end under 4.5 rounds might be worth it, especially at odds of -135.

The last of my best bets for the Figueiredo vs. Moreno rematch is for the champ to win by KO/TKO/DQ. You can get odds of +200 on the stoppage, which is very tempting indeed.

Moreno has never been finished in his career. But could that all change this Saturday?

Why Figueiredo Beats Moreno in the Rematch

Last year, Deiveson Figueiredo tore through the UFC flyweight division like a man possessed.

He’s taken a well-earned break and will take to the cage for the first time in 2021 this Saturday.

In doing so, he will be refreshed, recalibrated, and ready to pick up where he left off.

In Brandon Moreno, he faces a very tough opponent. But I believe the Mexican looked better against Figueiredo because of the Brazilian’s hectic schedule throughout the year. A large man for the weight class, Figueiredo was down to the remnants of his gas tank by the time UFC 256 rolled around.

This time, we should see a bigger gulf between both men. We will see a revitalized God of War, and that’s bad news for The Assassin Baby.

I made my predictions and betting pick for Figueiredo vs. Moreno well before the rematch was announced, and I see no need to play around with them now. Put simply, Figueiredo will have too much for his opponent on the night and should leave the cage with a knockout win under his belt.

More Bets for This Coming Weekend
