Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Football Team – NFL Week 7, 2020

The Dallas Cowboys take on the Washington Football Team in Week 7, as these two NFC East foes meet each other for the first time in 2020.
Although the 2020 NFC East is the worst division in football in a while, Sunday’s clash at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland, will be a joy to watch with so much on the table for both teams.
Therefore, I’ve prepared the key betting tips and trends along with the best Cowboys vs. Washington betting pick, so let’s take a closer look.
Cowboys vs. Washington Odds
The Cowboys lost Dak Prescott in Week 5, as the two-time Pro-Bowl signal-caller suffered a season-ending injury. They were terrible in Week 6, but the bookies still believe the Cowboys are a better team than Washington.
Dallas is topping the NFC East with a 2-4 record, while the Football Team is sitting bottom of the standings with a 1-5 record.
Assessing the Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are coming off a heavy 38-10 home loss to the Arizona Cardinals this past Monday. Ezekiel Elliott fumbled twice in the first half, and the Boys were trailing 21-3 at halftime.
It was a terrible performance on both sides of the ball. The Cowboys allowed a whopping 261 rushing yards and 438 in total. They committed four turnovers, as Andy Dalton tossed for a couple of interceptions in his first start under center in Dallas.
The Cowboys will need some time to pick up the pieces, for sure, but Dak Prescott’s injury was a huge kick in the teeth. They look shaken and lost on the field, but the Cowboys should be happy they are playing in the NFC East where two wins in six weeks are enough for the top spot.
Dallas’ defensive unit is a complete joke, and I’ve mentioned that a few times this season. The Boys are yielding 36.3 points per game (32nd in the NFL) on 410.0 total yards (27th).
Assessing Washington
The Football Team was so close to grabbing their second win of the season in Week 6, but they were narrowly beaten by the New York Giants 20-19 as 1.5-point road underdogs.
Washington is now riding a five-game losing streak while going 1-3-1 ATS in the process. Once more, their defense did a good job, but the Football Team’s offense was terrible as always.
They are scoring only 18.0 points per game (30th in the league) on 275.3 total yards (31st). Washington is dead last in rushing yards per game (82.2), while their quarterback situation is not helping even though Kyle Allen should continue to start under center.
Allen tossed for 280 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception against the Giants, completing 31 of his 42 attempts. That’s some positive signs, but without solid rushing, Washington will continue to struggle offensively.
On the other side of the ball, Washington is yielding 27.0 points per contest (19th) on 337.0 total yards (6th).
Cowboys vs. Washington Pick
If you like to follow betting trends, the Cowboys are 9-2 SU and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 meetings with the former Redskins. Also, they are 5-1 ATS in the last six matchups with Washington.
Last year, the Cowboys easily defeated Washington on both occasions, but without Dak Prescott and with one of the worst defenses in football, Dallas will struggle to perform at a high level.
Therefore, I think the hosts will keep it close. Everyone’s still alive in the race for the NFC East title, so I expect to see a tight battle between Dallas and Washington.
