It’s time to talk betting on Cyril Gane vs. Alexander Volkov, which serves as the main event of UFC Vegas 30 this Saturday, June 26.

Join me for the top bets and latest odds for Gane vs. Volkov, as well as some analysis of this crucial UFC heavyweight clash. Both men are technically sound and capable of ending a fight with one shot, so it promises to be a good one.

If you’re looking to make money betting on the fight, I’ll be sizing both fighters up and providing my predictions and pick for Gane vs. Volkov. These should give you a headstart for your wagers this weekend.

So, without further ado, let’s kick this betting preview for the UFC Vegas 30 headliner off with who wins (and how).

Gane or Volkov – Who Wins?

  • Cyril Gane by KO/TKO

It would take a brave man to predict Gane vs. Volkov being a walk in the park for either.

This is such an interesting fight, given the Frenchman and the Russian’s propensity for intelligent game plans that culminate in bloody violence.

But although Volkov is an excellent striker, Gane’s Muay Thai base and Octagon IQ should see him prevail.

Let’s look at what the bookies are saying before I go any deeper with my analysis of the fight.

Odds for Cyril Gane vs. Alexander Volkov

Cyril Gane to Win-175
Alexander Volkov to Win+150

You can find some of the best online odds for Gane vs. Volkov with BetOnline.

Gane’s odds to beat Volkov come in at -175, making him the moderate favorite on the night. The Frenchman is unbeaten as a pro (8-0) and has taken the UFC by storm since joining the promotion in 2019.

Since then, he is 5-0, with his most recent fight culminating in a decision win over the highly-rated Jairzinho Rozenstruik

Volkov’s odds to win come in at +150.

The man known to fans as “Drago” is certainly the more experienced of the pair, having notched up a record of 33-8 in the paid ranks. He is 7-2 in the UFC, with losses to Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis sullying his slate.

I believe the Russian will be beaten in his tenth fight, and my prediction for Gane to stop him can make you some decent money on the night.

Best Bets for Gane vs. Volkov

Gane to Win-175
Gane to Win by KO/TKO+350
Fight to End Under 4.5 Rounds-110

So, my top bets for Gane vs. Volkov can be found above.

First, a wager on Gane to win seems to be the smart way to approach things. The heavyweight division is the most volatile of them all when it comes to how a fight can end.

I mean, we saw Gane and Rozenstruik promise a KO/TKO on paper, but that ended in a decision. And just Look at what happened when Francis Ngannou met Derrick Lewis.

With that said, fortune does favor the brave. If you fancy your chances, the odds for Gane to win by KO/TKO are +350.

Regardless of who wins, a bet on the fight to end under the 4.5 round mark features very appealing odds. This could be the best bet to place on Gane vs. Volkov if you are unable to separate the pair.

If that’s the case, here’s a little on why I’m backing Gane to win.

Why Gane Beats Volkov

Momentum is a tremendous thing in combat sports.

Put simply, it can give you a crucial psychological advantage over an opponent that has perhaps not enjoyed as much fortune by comparison. Gane certainly has the wind in his sails, with his recent victory over Jairzinho Rozenstruik cementing him among the heavyweight elite of the UFC.

But there’s more to why I made my betting pick for Gane vs. Volkov.

For a start, “Bon Gamin” — that’s “Great Kid” when translated from French to English — appears to have the speed advantage over Volkov. At 6’5″, he gives up two inches in height but has one inch in height on the Russian at 81 inches.

Volkov is a smart fighter that can set traps for his opponents. But when faced with a fighter as technical, fast, and capable of turning his lights out as Gane is, I think he’ll struggle to sweep up off the back foot.

I’m predicting a third-round knockout for Gane against Volkov following two “feeling-out” rounds and some bullying in the clinch.
