The Jayhawks host the Bluejays at the Allen Fieldhouse in the battle of the birds.

Both sides have started the season well. The Bluejays have won three from three and the Jayhawks have won four from five.

These teams will both be hoping for a run to the finals, just as Kansas did back in 2012 when they lost to Kentucky.

Bluejays vs. Jayhawks Odds

Bluejays +4.5 -109
Jayhawks -4.5 -112
Bluejays To Win +163
Jayhawks To Win -205

The odds for this game reflect both sides good starts to the season and there isn’t much to choose between them.

Given the closeness between them it probably makes sense to side with the team given the start.

Jayhawks Analysis

The Jayhawks have bounced back from their opening game defeat to the well fancied Gonzaga to win four matches in a row.

Despite their good run of form they will need to improve on their field goal percentage as they are currently scoring at forty four percent which won’t be good enough to trouble the better sides in the league.

Kansas currently sit in sixth place in the Big Twelve standings as there are four sides above them that are currently unbeaten.

Two areas that they are excelling in is rebounds per game and steals per game as their stats tower over that of opponents Creighton.

Bluejays Analysis

Creighton have enjoyed a comfortable start to the season as their three wins this season have come by margins of thirty five, twenty seven and eleven.

They beat North Dakota State easily, a side that Kansas struggled to beat last week so that gives us a good form line to go on.

The Bluejays have made strong starts in all three of their games this season and have managed to then go and maintain those leads.

They have a lot better field goal percentage (fifty one percent, seven percent more) than Kansas and have on average nine more assists per game as they like to work the ball around the court.

Their good field goal percentage is largely down to standout star man Bishop who is averaging eighty one percent for the season so far. The six foot seven, junior, is averaging fifth teen points per game as well as over five rebounds.

Bishop has been backed up by Marcus Zegarowski who is averaging seven assists per game and over twelve points.

Creighton vs. Kansas Betting Pick

This will definitely be a close game and is a good yard stick for each team to see exactly where they are at.

Although early in the season this game could have a big impact on either side. A win will almost certainly give the victors the confidence to go on to bigger things.

Given it’s likely to be a close game it makes sense to side with the team who starts with a lead. That and the form lines against North Dakota make Creighton with the points the pick.
