Picks and Predictions for CFL Games in Week 6
The CFL season is moving right along as we head into Week 6 of the 2022 season. There are interesting matchups across the board, but which teams will make our CFL predictions for who wins?
Better yet, which team’s CFL odds will make us the most money this week? A team can lose their game, but they could still cover their spread. Or maybe the game’s over hits for a nice payout as well.
We only had 3 games in Week 5, but Week 6 gives us an additional game to watch and bet on. That said, let’s take a look at Week 6’s CFL betting odds for each game to see who’s favored to win.
CFL Odds for Week 6 (2022)
- Edmonton Elks +8.5 (-107) vs. Montreal Alouettes -8.5 (-113), O/U 49
- Calgary Stampeders +3.5 (-110) vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers -3.5 (-110), O/U 47.5
- Saskatchewan Roughriders -3 (+100) vs. Toronto Argonauts +3 (-120), O/U 46
- Ottawa Redblacks +7 (+100) vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats -7 (-120), O/U 45
Here are BetOnline’s CFL betting odds for each game in Week 6.
Montreal will be taking on Edmonton this week as they look for their 2nd win of the season. The Alouettes were able to beat the Roughriders in Week 3, but have lost every other game to make their record 1-3 coming into Week 6.
A game that is projected to be much closer this week is the Stampeders vs. Blue Bombers game, with a 3.5-point spread. Winnipeg is favored to win (-190) but is not favored as much as the Als.
The biggest reason for that is that the Stampeders and Blue Bombers are the only two CFL teams who are still undefeated. So if this game doesn’t end in a tie, we will have one team take their first loss of the season, while the other takes the spot as top dog in early 2022.
You would think that’s the most competitive game of the week, but the spread in the Roughriders and Argonauts game is a smidge closer at 3. Toronto will be underdogs at home, while the Roughriders have plus odds to cover the 3-point spread.
Hamilton has the upper hand in the last game, being favored to win by 7 over the Redblacks. That said, both teams have yet to win a game in 2022, so it could get interesting.

CFL Predictions for Who Wins Each Game
- Montreal Alouettes Over Edmonton Elks
- Winnipeg Blue Bombers Over Calgary Stampeders
- Saskatchewan Roughriders Over Toronto Argonauts
- Hamilton Tiger-Cats Over Ottawa Redblacks
Here are our CFL predictions for who wins each game in Week 6. Keep in mind, these would translate to money line bets and not spread bets.
The first of my CFL picks is going to be the Montreal Alouettes defeating the Edmonton Elks. Neither team has been too impressive this year with just one win each, but Montreal should still have the upper hand.
Montreal is coming off a bye, while the Elks are coming off an embarrassing 49-6 loss to the Roughriders. You might think that 49 points is the most they have given up this season in a single game, but you would be wrong. Edmonton actually gave up an astounding 56 points to the Lions in Week 1.
There is an argument for either team in the Calgary and Winnipeg game, so feel free to use or go against my free CFL picks for this one. The Blue Bombers lost a couple of big names in free agency over the offseason, but they should still be considered the league’s best team.
They have home-field advantage for this one, so I’ll give them the slight edge. That said, the Stampeders make a good underdog pick with a +165 money line.
For my Week 6 CFL picks, I have decided to give the edge to Saskatchewan instead of Toronto.
The Argonauts have allowed 86 points in their 3 games this season (28+ per game), which is only 13 fewer points than the Roughriders, who have played 2 more games (19.8 points allowed per game).
Best CFL Betting Picks for Week 6 of the 2022 Season
For my top CFL predictions for Week 6, I am going with 3 spreads.
The first one is going to be the Montreal Alouettes -8.5 against the Edmonton Elks. Edmonton’s defense has allowed an insane number of points this year, averaging 37.8 per game. Montreal’s record isn’t pretty, but they’ve been able to score a steady 25.75 points per game this year.
The Als should be able to have another solid offensive performance and should be well rested following their bye. However, Edmonton has the potential to be the CFL’s worst team in 2022, so losing by 9 or more this week to Montreal is very possible.
Saskatchewan’s spread seems a little too good to be true. Nevertheless, they are favored to win by 3 with their odds in plus money (+100). After their first 5 games of the season, they are 4-1 with a +39 point differential.
Toronto has only played 3 games, but they are already -41 in point differential. The Roughriders should have the upper hand here and make for a great bet with their positive CFL odds for Week 6.
Another plus money bet I like for this week is the Ottawa +7 spread. Hamilton should have the upper hand in terms of winning outright, but both teams are winless coming into this game with similar point differentials.
The 7 point spread seems too large for Hamilton to cover and the plus money makes it even more intriguing.
