Game 5 Pick for Celtics vs. Heat – Wednesday, May 25th, 2022

The Eastern Conference Finals have been pretty wild and unpredictable, but the show must go on. Boston will now head to Miami for Game 5 as the series has been evened up 2-2. Each of the games have been split in Boston and Miami so far.
There’s also been two 20+ blowout games in this series, so it’s been a pretty mixed bag. Both of them were in Boston’s favor, so that’s noteworthy as well.
It’s still anyone’s series heading into the next game. With that being said, let’s go ahead and take a look at the Heat vs. Celtics odds for a huge Game 5.

The Boston Celtics find themselves favored to win a crucial Game 5 despite being on the road. Oddsmakers have given the Celtics the title of favorite for this game. Given, it is just a 1.5 difference, but the point still stands.
Both teams have been battling injuries to crucial players, so they’re probably fine with being at least tied right now. The Celtics were able to get Robert Williams back in Game 4, but then Marcus Smart had to miss it with an ankle injury.
The point total for this game is set around 203.5 (-110) as well. If you are wondering what the point totals were for the first 4 games of the series, that would be 215, 229, 212, and 184.
To place your bets on the Celtics vs. Heat Game 5, you’ll want to head over to the best NBA betting sites.
If you’re still debating on who to bet on for this game, let’s break down this matchup a little bit further for you.
Celtics vs. Heat Matchup Preview
Besides the fact that the Eastern Conference Finals is tied at two games apiece, I would argue that the Celtics have looked much better in this series. Here’s a quick breakdown of the results from each game from Boston’s perspective;
- Game 1: Lost by 11 (118-107)
- Game 2: Won by 25 (127-102)
- Game 3: Lost by 6 (109-103)
- Game 4: Won by 20 (102-82)
So in total, the Celtics are at +28 in point differential in this series so far. They’ve kept it relatively close in their losses and have blown Miami out in their wins.
In the Heat’s last loss, their starters combined for an abysmal 18 points. P.J Tucker and Max Strus had zero points and combined for 0/11 from the field. Bam Adebayo had a massive Game 4 (31 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists), but followed that up with just 9 points and 6 rebounds.
Jimmy Butler has been a scoring machine in the playoffs, but he plummeted down to earth with a 6 point performance.
As for Boston, they can’t keep going back and forth with Miami. If they can’t put the nail in the coffin, they might find themselves being eliminated sooner rather than later.
Both teams have key players that are banged up, so this just could be a battle for who’s the healthiest. With that being said, make sure you keep your eyes peeled on the injury report and don’t make any decision until the ins and outs have been announced.
Same Game Parlay for Celtics vs. Heat on Wednesday
There are three picks that I like for a Same Game Parlay for the Celtics vs. Heat Game 5. I might have added in another leg or two, but these NBA playoffs have been very unpredictable. Nonetheless, these 3 picks combine for (+425) odds on Bovada.
If all 3 legs hit, then a $100 bet would turn into $525.
Jimmy Butler’s scoring has been very low in the last two games, but he was on a tear before that. In his first 12 games of the playoffs, he was averaging an incredible 29.8 points per game. In the last two games, he’s totaled 14 combined.
Butler’s scoring needs to come back in this game if the Heat want to win. Luckily, they’re back at home which is where Butler scored 41 and 29 points in Games 1 and 2. Hopefully this isn’t another blowout, because Butler should have a strong chance to have a bounce back game.
Jimmy Butler went off for 41 points on 63% from the field, while serving up a lockdown performance on the defensive end with 4 steals and 3 blocks! #HEATCulture@JimmyButler: 41 PTS, 9 REB, 5 AST, 4 STL, 3 BLK

Given the great defense that these teams are capable of, I find rebounds as the most appealing thing to bet on.
Robert Williams’ nickname is the “Time Lord,” and he lives up to it. He only needed 18 minutes to grab 9 rebounds in the last game. He also grabbed 9 rebounds in Game 1 and Game 2 (25 point blowout win) was the only game he went under with 4 rebounds.
If he gets 20ish minutes, he should be able to grab 7 boards.
Al Horford has 14 and 13 rebounds in the last two games and always plays heavy minutes. He should be able to grab another 9 in this one.
Celtics vs. Heat Pick for Game 5 on 5/25/2022

Over 203.5-110
This Game 5 really could go either way. It’s incredibly important that we keep an eye on the injury report, because it very well could be whoever is healthier will win. As of right now, I think Boston is the better team and should have the upper hand if they were both healthy.
They’re my pick to win the series, but that doesn’t mean they’ll win this game. I would much rather bet on the over than pick a team at this point.
After Game 4’s garbage performance on the offensive end for the Miami Heat, they had to have spent a ton of extra time practicing on that end. I’m expecting a much better performance from that side after last game’s embarrassment.
That could also mean they focus a little less on defense and allow the Celtics to score more as well. They’ve also hit the over set for this game in 3 of the first 4 games of the series. Hopefully this game is competitive as well, which would give the over a chance of hitting even more.
