Busan IPark vs. Suwon Samsung Bluewings – K League 1, October 18, 2020
There are important games throughout K League 1 this weekend but a win is vital for Busan IPark as it battles to stay in the top flight for another year.
Suwon has picked up a few points recently and could assure its K League 1 status with a win on the east coast.
Busan IPark vs. Suwon Bluewings Odds
MyBookie has made the Bluewings the favorite to come away from Busan with the points, although it is likely to be a hard-fought game between two teams that are not quite safe from the relegation battle yet. The draw bet might be of interest, as the Royals really need a result at home.
The 2-1 win away at FC Seoul last time out was a huge result for Busan as it enters the final few games of the season. Form had not been good before that victory and the resignation of manager Cho Deok-je only seemed to highlight the chaos surrounding the club.
But with Incheon United and Seongnam still to play after this one, caretaker manager Lee Ki-hyung will be a little bit more confident that his side can stay in K League 1. The second half goal conceded to Seoul made for a nervous end to the game but if Busan can find the form of earlier in the season, it should be all right.
Suwon, on the other hand, has timed its best form of the campaign at exactly the right time it would seem. After looking largely terrible all season, the Bluewings have just won three games in a row for the first time this year and top striker Adam Taggart is finally scoring a few goals.
There is no denying that is has been a poor season for Suwon – and there will be a lot of work to be done in the offseason to stop this being a regular thing. For a club the size of Suwon, battling against relegation and continually playing in the bottom half of the table should not be acceptable.
Busan IPark vs. Suwon Betting Pick
Suwon is definitely the form team of the two but the Bluewings have picked up enough points over the last few weeks to make relegation now seem very unlikely after all. Busan is more desperate for a win but may well have to make do with a draw this weekend.
