Burnley vs. Leicester City – EPL, March 3, 2021

Burnley and Leicester meet on Wednesday, both aiming to come back from disappointing defeats at the weekend. The players will be tired though – and it could be a case of who makes the least mistakes that ends up victorious.
The two sides are at different ends of the table and have their own reasons for wanting to take all three points. This could be a close game though.
Burnley vs. Leicester City Odds
BetOnline makes the seemingly easy decision to make Leicester the odds on favorite to win this one on Wednesday. But it will be a Leicester side depleted by injury and struggling for fitness after a busy schedule of games. Burnley has not been playing well, but the draw bet might be worth investigating here.
Burnley vs. Leicester City Match Preview
When Burnley plays badly, it can be very bad – and that was the case at the weekend against Spurs. Tottenham had scored with barely a minute gone in the game – and with two more goals added by the half hour mark, the fixture was over as a competition. Burnley did limit Spurs to one more goal in the second half, but it was one of the poorer performances from the Clarets this season.
Sean Dyche’s side remains five points from the relegation places but had not made the most of the four games against rivals near the bottom of the table, previous to this weekend. There was the win against Palace, but draws against Brighton, West Brom and Fulham mean that Burnley will not be safe for a while yet.
Leicester has completely different aspirations this season, but there are some worries now that the Foxes will fall away and miss out on Champions League soccer once again. It happened last season – and Brendan Rodgers is now finding that a smaller squad in comparison to his rivals is beginning to have an effect.
The 3-1 loss to Arsenal at the weekend proved that point decisively. With a number of injuries to top players, Leicester looked a shadow of its former self and even Jamie Vardy failed to get involved. Rodgers will know that clubs like Chelsea have the players to make up the difference in points at the top – and that a win against Burnley on Wednesday is vital.

The Draw+230
Burnley will probably be without Ashley Barnes for this one but I have a feeling that Sean Dyche will have read the riot act to his players after the woeful performance against Spurs. That should give the Clarets a sense of purpose that could tell against a Leicester side that could really do with a break at the moment instead of a midweek fixture.
