Burnley vs. Fulham – EPL, February 17, 2021

Sean Dyche would probably have preferred to have played this game back at the end of December when it was originally scheduled. Fulham was really struggling then but has looked far better in the last two months.
But Burnley has also improved and goes into this game on the back of its biggest win of the season so far. This could end up being an unexpectedly good game.
Burnley vs. Fulham Odds
BetOnline has this priced very closely – and that has to be down to the way that Fulham has played in the last few weeks. The surprise win at Everton at the weekend only reinforces the belief that the team can play. But Burnley is always tough to beat at Turf Moor, and there is an argument to be made for all three match result bet options here.
Burnley vs. Fulham Match Preview
Burnley scored two goals in the first ten minutes at Palace at the weekend and never really looked like allowing its host back into the game. It was the Claret’s first EPL victory in four games, but the performances have been better of late – and there is a definite sense of confidence in Sean Dyche’s squad now.
Burnley has also beaten Liverpool and Aston Villa since the turn of the year and would regard another win against Fulham as seeing off the opposition when it comes to relegation fears. There will be some worry about Ben Mee after he was forced to leave the field at Palace – and Chris Wood is likely to miss another game because of his hamstring injury. But the squad showed it doesn’t always need its most important players last time out.
Fulham was dealt what seemed like a hammer blow before its game with Everton on Sunday when Aleksandar Mitrovic tested positive for COVID. But that only gave on loan signing Josh Maja a chance to show how he can help the Cottagers fight off relegation this season.
The Nigeria international scored both goals in the 2-0 win at Goodison Park and will now be thinking that he can add to his Premier League tally on Wednesday. With other on-loan teammates like Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ademola Lookman boosting Fulham’s chances, Scott Parker might finally have a team that repays his trust in his players.
Burnley vs. Fulham Betting Pick
-
The Draw+215
Although Fulham just about recorded the more impressive result of these two at the weekend, there is still always a difficulty in going to Turf Moor and coming away with three points. Both these clubs need to be scoring more goals, but it could be the defenses that come out on top on Wednesday. A low-scoring draw will suit Burnley more than it does Fulham.
