Burnley vs. Brighton and Hove Albion – EPL, February 6, 2021

Graham Potter’s Brighton will be on a real high after beating Liverpool and Spurs in the space of a week. Burnley will now seem like a much easier fixture.
But Sean Dyche’s side is always a tough team to play, and he will be painfully aware that the Clarets’ recent form has seen it drop back down to just above the bottom three.
Burnley vs. Brighton and Hove Albion Odds
Any team that has beaten Liverpool and Spurs in its last two games has to be considered for a winning bet, but I’m not sure that Brighton should be the favorite to win this game as BetOnline has priced it. There is little between these odds, but the draw or the home win should definitely be considered.
Burnley vs. Brighton and Hove Albion Match Preview
Burnley offered very little in its game against Manchester City in the week and was a goal down within five minutes. Sean Dyche will be more disappointed that his players never really looked like getting back into the game. The Clarets have endured a tough run of fixtures in the last month, but they need to find some points from somewhere soon.
There is usually a good level of fight in the Burnley side, but it will probably have to do without Chris Wood on Saturday – and may also miss Ashley Barnes through injury. If both of those two are unavailable, then Burnley will really struggle to finish off any moves and may have to make do with a point at best.
Brighton’s players will probably be expecting to beat Burnley after two excellent results for the Seagulls. Graham Potter has, half-jokingly, put it down to a change in his matchday attire, but the recent wins have come about because of the tactics he has introduced this season.
The winning goal against Liverpool was a little fortunate, but Brighton completely deserved the points after defending well and breaking with the ball when it was given a chance. But the knee injury to Solly March is a huge blow for the club, as he is regularly the main point of the team’s attacking movements.
Burnley vs. Brighton and Hove Albion Pick
-
Burnley to Win+215
Brighton’s victories over Spurs and Liverpool should show the players that they can compete in the Premier League this season – and that there is a very good chance that they can stay up. But this game will be more of a return to Earth with a bump, in which Burnley can ruin the party and pick up three vital points of its own.
