Following the Foxes’ thrashing in the reverse fixture, it is hardly surprising that 10bet views Leicester (2.15) as the favorite to win on Thursday. However, the high odds for the away victory suggest that Braga (3.15) will give Rodgers’ men a run for their money.

The Portuguese side has made a seriously strong start to the 2020/21 campaign, so the result of their previous meeting with Leicester came as a big surprise.

Leicester’s victory at the beginning of November put an end to Braga’s eye-catching six-game winning streak in all competitions. Carvahal’s team is also in a strong position to qualify for the Europa League knockout stages, so it’s safe to say that Braga is enjoying a successful campaign.

The thrashing to Leicester will still be fresh in the memory, but Braga has plenty of reasons to be optimistic heading into Thursday’s clash.

The Foxes were on an impressive run of their own before last weekend. Three Europa League victories and four EPL triumphs meant that Leicester had secured seven wins in a row, but Liverpool completely outclassed Rodgers’ side on Sunday.

The Reds were missing countless key players due to injury, yet Leicester lost 3-0 at Anfield. The team looked bereft of ideas, with in-form striker Jamie Vardy unable to make an impact on the game.

However, the Foxes remain just two points behind league-leader Tottenham in the EPL table, having won six of their opening nine league games this term. Rodgers will be hoping that the defeat to Liverpool was merely a minor blip, as his side aims to return to winning ways in midweek.

Let’s not forget that Leicester’s previous performance against Braga was hugely convincing.

Following Sunday’s below-par display, Rodgers will be looking for a big response from his players in Portugal. I’m expecting Braga to put up a good fight, but I’m confident that Leicester will come out on top.
