Betting Preview for the 2020 RSM Classic With Odds, Predictions, and Best Bets

| November 16, 2020 12:16 pm PDT

The conclusion of the Masters marks the end of the calendar season for many top professionals. For the rest of the tour, there are still two events left before they’re stuffing their faces with turkey and turning the page to 2021.

As we look ahead to RSM Classic predictions, keep in mind that this won’t be a bomber’s paradise like we saw with damp conditions at Augusta. The par-70 layout at the Seaside Course is incredibly demanding off the tee and places a premium on precision.

With that in mind, let’s get to a pick and the best bets.

2020 RSM Classic Odds to Win

Webb Simpson strolls into Saint Simons Island as the overwhelming favorite at all of the top betting sites. His ultra-consistent play continued into last week (T10 at the Masters), and his record at this venue is sparkling.

“Webby” has finished 2nd and 3rd in the last two editions, and check out his last 10 rounds here.

Simpson clearly has an affinity for this golf course, but he’s not the only player arriving in good form.

Sungjae Im tied for second last week, while Dylan Frittelli (T5) and C.T. Pan (T7) both finished the 2020 Masters double-digits under par.

Onto some predictions for the RSM Classic.

RSM Classic Pick to Win

Several big names in this field showed signs of life at Augusta. As easy as it would be to back one of them with my RSM Classic pick, I’m going in a different direction.

Give me Doc Redman – sitting at +6600 at BetOnline. While some will be deterred if it starts blowing at the Seaside Course, this confident ball-striker will be licking his chops.

A trio of top-4s among his last seven starts alludes to him knocking on the door for his first PGA Tour victory. And even though Doc’s irons let him down during his most recent start in Houston, know that Redman led the field in driving accuracy and ranked 9th in SG: Putting.

On top of all that, the 22-year-old Clemson product has some unfinished business to tend to at Sea Island Resort. Redman began last year’s final round (his tournament debut) three shots out of the lead before firing a disappointing 73.

It’s the perfect time to seek redemption.

More Predictions and Best Bets

Here are two more RSM Classic predictions. Among the best golf bets you can place, the top-10 and top-20 markets are a great way to try and cash in.

Tommy Fleetwood to Finish Top 10

Zero top-10s on the PGA Tour since the restart in June and no prior appearances at the RSM Classic. With that being said, Tommy started to drum up some confidence at the Masters (T19) and looked strong in all facets of his game. The conditions and course setup this week should play right into the Englishman’s hands.

Corey Conners to Finish Top 20

Conners’ recent surge carried into Augusta where the Canadian tallied his first career top-10 at a major. That’s now three straight top-25s for one of the most underrated ball-strikers on tour. Only Bernhard Langer and Ian Poulter hit more fairways at the Masters.
