Best Picks and Advice for NBA DFS – Friday, February 4th, 2022

| February 4, 2022 9:44 am PDT

This Friday in the NBA is shaping up to be a great day for use DFS-wise. There are 9 games to choose from, which means we can make our lineups nice and diverse from each other. We should be able to come up with a lot of different ways to attack with multiple different lineups.

You always need to find the players with great matchups, as well as great value. We will have to also make sure that we don’t have too similar of a lineup to other players, as that can make it harder to get in the green area.

With that being said, here are the best players and sleepers to have in your NBA DFS lineups for Friday, February 4th.

NBA DFS Picks for Friday Night

  • Nikola Jokic, C, Nuggets ($11.2k)
  • Christian Wood, PF/C, Rockets ($8.5k)
  • Dejounte Murray, PG/SG, Spurs ($10.5k)
  • Josh Giddey, SG, Thunder ($6.0k)
  • Kyrie Irving, PG/SG, Nets ($9.5k)

You always have to see if Jokic is worth playing on any given night. He has a golden opportunity against the Pelicans tonight, who give up the 9th most fantasy points to centers. Jokic can have himself a huge day, which would basically make him required if you want to cash tonight.

Another big man I like for this slate is PF/C from Houston, Christian Wood. Wood is a pretty underrated player and has gotten into some trouble a couple of weeks ago. Houston has been pretty incompetent in the past couple years, but Wood can have himself a big night tonight.

San Antonio gives up the 5th most fantasy points to centers and their best defensive big man in Jakob Poeltl is likely out tonight with a concussion.

Dejounte Murray is another player who can go off in that Houston and San Antonio game. A triple double could be in line for tonight and he could be a great pivot away from popular plays like Jokic.

Josh Giddey is looking to be a fantastic value play for tonight’s slate. His price is relatively cheap and he’s been great recently. SGA is out for the Thunder, which has allowed Giddey to score 33+ fantasy points in 3 straight games and has a plus matchup against Portland.

Kyrie is a bit pricey tonight, but the Jazz and Nets could put up a bunch of points against each other. Although Utah is tough on SGs in general, they actually give up the 4th most points to that position. Irving can be in for a huge point total tonight.

NBA DFS Sleepers for Friday Night

  • Cedi Osman, SP/PF, Cavaliers ($4.3k)
  • Drew Eubanks, PF/C, Spurs ($4.5k)
  • Brandon Goodwin, PG, Cavaliers ($4.5k)
  • Dorian Finney-Smith, SG/SF ($4.2k)
  • Tre Mann, PG, Thunder ($4.5k)

These players have tons of value tonight and are going to be the reason you can afford guys like Jokic and Murray. You have to always look at who is banged up, as that creates a lot of opportunities for cheap guys like these 5.

The Cavs have a lot of value since Darius Garland and Lauri Markkannen are going to be out. Charlotte games are normally a fantasy gold mine, so make sure you get guys like Osman and Goodwin in your lineup with their cheap prices.

The Spurs and Rockets game should have a lot of value as well with the point total set at a whopping 236.5 points. With Poeltl likely being out for this game, Eubanks will be the next man up. Houston gives up the most fantasy points to centers, so you can pivot from Jokic and take a super value play in Eubanks tonight.

Playing DFS in a DFS slate is always a funny thing to do, but he can provide some solid value tonight as well. The Mavericks take on Philadelphia, who are pretty hard to score up against. With that being said, Finney-Smith is looking to get huge minutes tonight and can fill up the stat sheets in many different ways.

Tre Mann is another solid play tonight for the Thunder. He put up 20.9 fantasy points on the Blazers two games ago and he was red hot in his last game. He scored 37.5 fantasy points (29 actual points) and the Thunder couldn’t take him off the floor.

Top NBA DFS Lineup for February 4th, 2022

  • PG – Tre Mann ($4.5k)
  • PG – Kyrie Irving ($9.5k)
  • SG – Josh Giddey ($6.0k)
  • SG – Dorian Finney-Smith ($4.2k)
  • SF – Cedi Osman ($4.3k)
  • SF – Luguentz Dort ($6.5k)
  • PF – Christian Wood ($8.5k)
  • PF – Drew Eubanks ($4.5k)
  • C – Nikola Jokic ($11.2k)

I am really liking this lineup tonight, but if you like some other players, feel free to swap out whoever you like. This lineup has a big potential scorer in Jokic, as well as other players who should be able to have solid nights as well.

The value plays are probably the most important ones, because everybody knows Jokic can have a huge night. If a cheap player has a big night, that can launch you up the leaderboard and into the money.

I like Irving as an unpopular play given his matchup with Utah. He didn’t have a great night against Sacramento last time out, but he should be able to bounce back as he usually does.

Keep an eye on Dejounte Murray’s injury for tonight, as I think he is a great play as well. His injury could scare a lot of other players away from him, but he’s more than capable of going nuts.

There’s tons of value tonight and if you execute it correctly, you should be able to cash in big time. Don’t be afraid to take the road less traveled either, as fading big time players like Jokic can end up being the play of the night after all.

Best of luck tonight in your contest and make sure to head back to our NBA picks page for more recommended bets.
