Best Horse Racing Bets for Saturday, October 31, 2020
All three tracks I chose to review for Saturday’s wagering offered at least one stakes race (Belmont Park alone features three), and what Del Mar Racing lacked in both underdogs and longshot moneymakers, both Golden Gate Fields and Belmont Park made up with multiple surprise underdogs as well as some significant long-odds bargain bets.
Read on for an overview of my tips, picks and predictions for Saturday, October 31, 2020.
Saturday’s Picks and Predictions for Belmont Park
- Race 6: Olympic Games 5/1 (win)
- Race 6: Cap de Creus 15/1 (show)
- Race 8: It Can Be Done 8/1 (win)
- Race 8: Claw 30/1 (show)
- Race 9: Share the Ride 5/2 (win)
- Race 9: Arch Cat 10/1 (show/across the board)
Belmont Park delivered on both underdog contenders and value show bets in all three of the stakes races I chose to review for Saturday. I took the third-favored entry in the Zagora Stakes (race 6), the fourth-favored in the Awad Stakes (race 8), and the second-favored in the Bold Ruler Handicap (race 9).
Plus, I found a 30/1 longshot for a value bet in race 8, as well as a show bet that really deserves an across the board wager.

My Saturday Picks and Tips for Del Mar Racing
- Race 3: Trevor T 2/1 (win)
- Race 5: Over Attracted 3/1 (win)
- Race 7: Never Be Enough 5/1 (win)
I found little to cheer about at Del Mar Racing for Saturday, but I did manage to find a third-favored underdog with the ability to win in the Kathryn Crosby Stakes (race 7). In races 3 and 5, however, I had to agree with the morning line’s choices.

My Saturday Predictions for Golden Gate Fields
- Race 3: Never for Money 9/2 (win)
- Race 7: Zelaia 2/1 (win)
- Race 7: Just Classy 8/1 (show)
- Race 8: I’m So Anna 2/1 (win)
- Race 8: Risen Lady 12/1 (show)
I found myself agreeing with the morning line for the first two races I chose to review at Golden Gate Fields but I did manage to uncover a second-favored contender in the Pike Place Dancer Stakes (race 8).
Oh, and there’s a modest value show bet in race 7, as well as a slightly less modest bargain bet in race 8. Not gloriosky money, to be sure, but every little bit helps.
