Of the three tracks I chose for review for Saturday’s racing and wagering enjoyment, both Del Mar Racing and Churchill Downs provided Grade III stakes races for me to fuss over. And while Laurel Park had no stakes races, it provided the largest number of underdogs and viable long-odds show bets.
But let’s not dally. Read below for an overview of my picks and predictions for Saturday, November 21, 2020.
Saturday’s Picks for Churchill Downs
Race 6: Aasr 7/2 (win)
Race 8: Three Tipsy Chix 4/1 (win)
Race 8: Bel Fiore 12/1 (show)
Race 9: Finite 8/5 (win)
Race 9: Crazy Sexy Munny 50/1 (show/across the board)
Plenty of underdog action at Churchill Downs Saturday, although I found myself backing the morning line favorite in the Grade III Chilukki Stakes (race 9). Still, I found a second-favored prospect in race 6 and a third-favored in race 8, so that made me happy.
Oh, and then there’s that 50/1 longshot Crazy Sexy Munny in race 9 that deserves a show bet if not an across the board wager.

Del Mar got right to it with the Native Diver Stakes (Grade III) in race 2, and I had to bet on the 4/5 morning line favorite because math. I redeemed my rebel status immediately, however, with a call for the third-favored entry to win in race 6, and for good measure, I backed the fourth-favored entry in race 8.
You’ll see that I was hard-pressed to find viable long-odds value bets in the first two races I reviewed, but then I discovered that 20/1 longshot in race 8, and all was right with the world.

Laurel Park was the most satisfying of the three tracks I reviewed for Saturday simply because each race yielded an underdog winner, a viable long-odds show bet, or both. Incidentally, all three races were allowance races.
I called race 6 for the fourth-favored entry, then went with the morning line favorite in race 7. Of course, then I backed the second-favored horse in race 8.
As far as value show bets are concerned, I had some lower-end prospects (12/1 and 10/1) in races 6 and 8, but I discovered a viable 20/1 longshot in race 7.
