Best Horse Racing Bets for Tuesday, March 9, 2021

For the three tracks for review, I picked Delta Downs, Mahoning Valley Race Course, and Parx Racing and found plenty of underdogs and value show bets to keep our wagering dollars busily working for us on Tuesday.

Delta Downs was the best source for value show bets, with a long-odds entry certain to finish in the money for all three races I reviewed. The track also yielded up a fourth-favored underdog in race 2.

So read on for a summary of my picks and predictions for the likely moneymakers for Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

Delta Downs didn’t have too many underdogs for us on Tuesday, but I did a single fourth-favored entry (at 5/1) in race two that could keep our wallets fat and sassy.

And although I stuck with the morning line favorites in both races 5 and 6, I still discovered a pair of value show bets at 12/1 in races 5 and 6.

Mahoning Valley Race Course was just the opposite — I found more underdogs than I did value show bets, but I suppose it all evens out in the end.

There’s that third-favored horse I found in race 3 at 7/2 with a serious shot at the win, and then that second-favored entry in race 7 with just as good a chance.

As far as value show bets go, all I uncovered was a 15/1 horse in race 3 that should return a good buck or two for the risk.

Parx was about the same as Mahoning Valley, with a couple of good underdog picks (races 8 and 10) and a single longish (10/1) value show ticket in race 7.
