Best Horse Racing Bets for Wednesday, March 3, 2021

I went with Delta Downs, Mahoning Valley Race Course, and Parx Racing for my three tracks to assess for our Wednesday wagering entertainment.

Mahoning Valley was the most forthcoming with underdogs and value show bets, although the other two tracks weren’t all that stingy when it came to sleepers and other assorted upsets.

Delta Downs definitely has plenty of sleepers and show ticket surprises in store for us Wednesday — which is a relief since I found myself agreeing with the morning line in all three of the races I reviewed.

Despite that, I found a 5/1 sleeper in race 4 with a solid chance for a win and an 8/1 sleeper likewise viable for a win.

Oh, and don’t overlook that 15/1 value show ticket in race 2.

My shortlist of picks belies the multitude of underdogs I discovered at Mahoning Valley for Wednesday’s predictions.

You’ll find a second-favored underdog in race 3 and then two third-favored entries in races 6 and 8 (at 3/1 and 5/1, respectively).

Throw in that 12/1 value show bet in race 6, and we’ve got a pretty good day at the races.

Parx Racing was mostly morning-line favorites, although I did find a second-favored (3/1) underdog in race 9.
