Best Horse Racing Bets for Wednesday, January 6, 2021

I went with Delta Downs, Gulfstream Park, and Fair Grounds Race Course for Wednesday’s racing reviews, and I’m glad I did. All three tracks had something of value to offer — and when I say “something of value,” I mean solid opportunities to place wagers on some very plausible sleepers, underdogs, and longshots.

I found underdogs and show-bet values at Delta downs for Wednesday, with a 20/1 longshot in race 2 the highlight of my day.

There’s that second-favored underdog choice in race 2, of course. Throw in that 15/1 value show ticket in race 8 along with a third-favored underdog in the same race, and we have the makings of a very good wagering Wednesday indeed.

Fair Grounds was a bit stingy with both the underdogs and the long-odds moneymakers, but the track managed to yield up both a second-favored contender as well as a 12/1 value show ticket in race 8.

Gulfstream Park is my favorite track for Wednesday wagering — at least it is for this Wednesday. From two long-odds value bets — including a 20/1 longshot in race 9 — to a couple of underdog prospects (races 6 and 9), the moneymaking opportunities just kept coming.
