Best Horse Racing Bets for Tuesday, January 12, 2021

| January 11, 2021 1:41 pm PDT

Oddly enough, I actually found a couple of stakes races at the three tracks I chose to review for Tuesday’s richest races. Granted, both stakes races are at Delta Downs, but it’s rare enough to find even one thoroughbred stakes race in the middle of the week that I have to crow about them. So consider them touted.

In any case, what follows is a summary of the richest three races at each of the three tracks I reviewed for Tuesday, January 12, 2021: Delta Downs, Mahoning Valley Race Course, and Parx Racing.

Read on for the summary of my horse racing picks and predictions for Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

Good luck!

Delta Downs Picks for Tuesday

  • Race 2: Australasian 4/5 (win)
  • Race 3: Fasthappy 2/1 (win)
  • Race 6: Southern Liaison 7/2 (win)

Delta Downs headlined both the Louisiana Jewel Stakes and the Magnolia Stakes on its race card for Tuesday, and the morning line was pretty much spot on for me. Sure, I did pick the second-favored entry in race 9 (also known as the Magnolia Stakes), but I was bet the straight morning line ticket otherwise.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find any odds long enough in any of the three races I reviewed to make a value show bet worthwhile.

Learn the truth behind the meager pickings at Delta Downs for Tuesday’s richest races.

Tuesday’s Predictions and Picks for Mahoning Valley Race Course

  • Race 3: Howie’s Angel 9/2 (win)
  • Race 8: Kist 5/1 (win)
  • Race 8: Rock Star Lady 20/1 (show)
  • Race 9: Fricka 5/2 (win)

Mahoning Valley Race Course was my favorite track today, giving us a fourth- and a third-favored entry

(races 3 and 8, respectively) as well as a solid 20/1 longshot for a value show wager in race 8.

My Tuesday Predictions for Parx Racing

  • Race 5: Buyer’s Remorse 3/1 (win)
  • Race 7: Everymothersprayer 5/2 (win)
  • Race 7: Everymothersprayer, A Bit Bad N Boujee, Amaterasu (trifecta, 2-4-7)
  • Race 9: Semi Excited 6/1 (win)
  • Race 9: Postino’s Vow 15/1 (show)

Not only did I find a viable fourth-favored entry in race 9 (at a sweet 6/1 M/L), but I discovered a likely trifecta in that same race. I went along with the morning line in races 5 and 7. Hey, some days are like that.
