Best Horse Racing Bets for Tuesday, February 23, 2021
I went with Mahoning Valley Race Course, Parx Racing, and Turf Paradise for the three tracks I reviewed for the Tuesday races.
While I found few underdogs to tout — one per track seems to have been the Allotment for the Day — I found a surprising number of sleepers among the races, as well as some good value show tickets wagers. All things considered, not a bad day at the races.
Read on for the summary of my racing predictions and picks for Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
My Tuesday Predictions for Mahoning Valley Race Course
- Race 1: Lucky Double D’s 6/5 (win)
- Race 2: Mymonstersforreal 2/5 (win)
- Race 6: No Mas 5/2 (win)
- Race 6: Hover 8/1 (sleeper)
I found myself in agreement with the morning line in races 1 and 2, but I did manage to find not only an underdog (at 5/2) in race 6, but I also spotted an 8/1 sleeper worthy of your attention.

Tuesday Picks for Parx Racing
- Race 8: Happy Farm 2/1 (win)
- Race 8: Midnightcharly 15/1 (show)
- Race 9: Too Boss 8/5 (win)
- Race 9: Smokum Peace Pipe 10/1 (show)
- Race 10: Stabilize 5/1 (win)
- Race 10: Cold Hearted Pearl 15/1 (show)
Parx is full of surprises for us Tuesday, including the possibility the races may be canceled due to nasty weather).
But let’s pretend it’s always sunny there, which gives us some very interesting races to call. I went with the morning line in races 8 and 9 but found a third-favored (at 5/1) underdog in race 10.
Not only that, but I found value show wagers in all three races I assessed, which is always happy-making.
