Best Horse Racing Bets for Tuesday, February 2, 2021

All three of the tracks I chose to review for Tuesday had some good bets to offer, but I have to admit that of the three, only Parx Racing had a wealth of wagering opportunities. The other two — Delta Downs and Mahoning Valley Race Course — were mostly about finding viable underdogs; neither of them presented a solid show ticket wager to tout.

Delta Downs was not the place to go looking for value show bets, but I did anyway — and found none. Sad emoji.

On the other hand, I did manage to find a single third-favored underdog in trace 8 that could be profitable.

Mahoning Valley Race Course was equally withholding in the value show bet department, but I found a second-favored underdog (at 5/2) in race 4, as well as a third-favored (at 6/1) in race 4 — and who doesn’t like picking a winner at 6/1?

Parc Racing was definitely my favorite track for Tuesday, with underdogs, value show bets, and even a sleeper to consider. The caveat here is that with snow predicted in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, it’s possible the day’s racing might be curtailed, canceled, or rescheduled.

But assuming it’ll all work out and the races will run, we’ve got a sleeper in race 7 just as likely to win as the morning line favorite, so bet accordingly.

Then I found a second-favored entry in race 8 and a third-favored in race 9 that could be profitable.

Plus, we’ve got three fair-to-middlin’ (12/1, 12/1, and 10/1) show tickets in races 7, 8, and 9, respectively, to enrich our bankroll.
