Best Bets, Sleeper Picks, and a Parlay for UFC 256

You’re looking for the best bets for UFC 256.

Well, I have what I believe are the best bets for UFC 256. That means we can do a little thing here where I reel off my picks for the Figueiredo vs. Moreno card, and you check them out. Nothing weird. Nothing heavy. Just good, old fashioned fun.

Well, that was awkward, but I’m over it now. I hope you are, too.

However, something that would take much longer to get over is screwing up your predictions for UFC 256, especially if you plan to bet on the fights. If that’s something you are looking to avoid, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve put together the best bets and sleeper picks for UFC 256 below.

Let’s start with the best bets, and I’ll tell you all about them.

Best UFC 256 Bets

OK, so we have some bets to check out here.

The first involves the headline fight of the evening between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno. It’s going to be an awesome fight, sure, but here’s why you should be backing Figueiredo to get the job done at the APEX this Saturday night.

Figueiredo to Beat Moreno (-345)

In terms of top UFC 256 bets, this is as solid as you will find.

To say that UFC flyweight king Deiveson Figueiredo is enjoying a hot streak is to point out that water is wet. He has been a phenomenal fighter in 2020, and if he can beat Brandon Moreno in Saturday’s main event, there’s no way that anyone sane will shun him for the fighter of the year accolade.

If you don’t already have this on your list of UFC 256 predictions, I’d suggest checking out my Figueiredo vs. Moreno betting preview for a little extra inspiration.

Gane Beats dos Santos Inside the Distance (-150)

I just cannot see how former UFC heavyweight king, Junior dos Santos, wins this fight.

It seems as though all of the good bits of JDS have disappeared, and what we are left with is a guy that looks exactly like him but wins no fights. Even worse, he keeps getting slept.

Cyril Gane is no joke. Not only does he have stoppage power, but he is very skilled in other areas. For example, he has a nasty submission game that has put other heavyweights on alert. Needless to say, it’ll be fun seeing how he performs on Sunday.

If I was asked to make a prediction for UFC 256 and another for life in general, I would come back with these — Junior dos Santos will be knocked out, and the sun will rise in the morning.

I think I’d get shorter odds for JDS being knocked out.

Quarantillo to Beat Tucker (-140)

Billy Quarantillo rides an eight-fight win streak into his UFC 256 matchup against Gavin Tucker.

The Contender Series graduate has looked awesome since hooking up with the UFC last year and will be confident of getting the job done over Tucker this Saturday.

I really like Quarantillo in this matchup and am very happy with odds of -140. Very happy indeed.

Perhaps not as happy as BJ Penn was to find out about a paternity suit against him…

Top Sleepers for UFC 256

You have options when choosing your UFC 256 sleepers and value bets.

Still, I believe the three below to be the best of the bunch. I will explain why underneath each heading, but make sure to pay attention to the odds located to the right of each prediction.

There are a couple of nice ones here, so let’s get to ’em!

Figueiredo to Win by KO/TKO (+180)

Being in two minds when betting on Figueiredo landing a KO/TKO or submission, I chose the former when putting together my bets for UFC 255 last month.

As we now know, Figueiredo earned a sublime submission win on the night, which, basically, resulted in many of us losing our bets. But at UFC 256, I’m taking Figueiredo to win the fight by KO/TKO, once again.

Why, you might ask? Well, not only do I believe that the Brazilian will more early opportunities to end the fight on the feet, but I think his strategy coming into this fight will be built around pushing Moreno back with his trademark bombs. The fight will be won and lost on the feet.

This bet gets you odds of +180, which is fine by me!

Ferguson to Win by KO/TKO (+188)

Another fight that will be determined by a striking war is Tony Ferguson vs. Charles Oliveira in the co-main event.

Ferguson to beat Oliveira by KO/TKO is one of the first and best UFC 256 bets I earmarked when putting this piece together for you. Sure, I know that Oliveira’s striking has come on in leaps and bounds, but he possesses nowhere the power or technical prowess to keep up with Ferguson.

Unless Oliveira can get his hooks into Ferguson on the floor and find a way to lock in a submission, he’s simply going to be lit up on the feet.

Learn more about this fight in my Ferguson vs. Oliveira betting preview.

Souza to Win by Submission (+500)

Jacare Souza is one of the most decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors to have made the transition to MMA.

At 41, Jacare is past his best. But the 4th degree BJJ blackbelt is still a very dangerous force on the ground. So much so that I am baffled that there are odds of +500 for Souza submitting Kevin Holland doing the rounds.

Holland is a likable dude, but he has holes in his game. This is his fifth fight of the year, so it remains to be seen what the effects of a busy 12 months on his body truly are. In my Holland vs. Jacare betting preview, I talk about how much of a risk this could be.

I guess we’ll find out on Saturday. Still, I can’t look past Jacare by submission in this fight. Especially at those odds.

If you’re sat there, screaming, “What is a parlay?” at the laptop, take a nice sip of water and relax.

You can learn all about parlay betting by hitting the link above. What I’ll say before you do that is that parlay bets for UFC 256 will be very popular. Still, they are not difficult to get your head around at all.

So, I’ve put a four-fold parlay together that pays out at $4700 for a $100 stake. If you decide to shop around for odds on the top UFC betting sites, this could even amount to more.

How nice would it be if that came in?
