The goal of every team is to reach the Super Bowl. Playing the final game of the season is always a bonus. Making a deep run in the postseason is no easy chore.

Reaching the playoffs and finishing with a winning record is difficult for many franchises. The likes of Dallas, Detroit, Washington, and Chicago are all hoping and praying that this is the season they have a run in them.

Without further ado, here are the best bets to reach the 2021 NFC Championship game this season.

Dallas Cowboys (+500)

Are you surprised? The Cowboys are preseason darlings and paper champions yet again. So many are sick and tired to see it, but the general public has often fallen in love with this team over the years.

Defenses win championships, and offenses put butts in the seats. The Dallas offense could rank among the best in the NFL when it comes to the latter, but they need to stay healthy and find ways to prevent teams from exposing their defense.

The ascent of explosive wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is one huge reason for optimism. He knows it, too.

The Dallas defense gave up the most points and second-most yards in the history of the franchise. There is no way they can challenge for a conference championship if the young linebackers cannot be impact players from day one.

Rookie linebacker Micah Parsons can make a difference, but they will need the youngsters in the secondary to avoid getting left in the dust.

The offense had too much pressure placed on them. That was with Andy Dalton under center, too. Dallas failed to keep their offensive linemen healthy, which was a whole different level of concern.

Dak Prescott should play well, but this team will need to go from one of the worst squads last season to a borderline elite in 2021.

The value is too rich for my blood, but the playoffs have three wild card teams nowadays. The Cowboys have a decent chance of making the playoffs, but they will be playing with fire if they fail to win their division.

That certainly is a possibility, but the price is too steep to pull the trigger on this franchise. Look elsewhere for your best squads in the NFC.

San Francisco 49ers (+275)

The 49ers are a legendary franchise due to their impressive resume in the Super Bowl (5-2). They lost in the Super Bowl two seasons ago, and many are projecting them to make a return appearance.

The defensive line talent they had two seasons ago was so physical.

They could return close to that group if health does not become a factor. The return of their star Nick Bosa could allow others to flourish.

The top player on defense these past few years has been their stud linebacker, Fred Warner. One of the more explosive defenders in the NFL can fly all over the gridiron. He will continue to be the tone-setter for this defense, which will be vital against elite opposing quarterbacks.

Going up against Kyler Murray, Matthew Stafford, and Russell Wilson will be challenging, but the San Francisco defense has the goods to do so.

The other concern has been Jimmy Garoppolo, who has missed a lot of time in his Niners career.

Just look at his missed/played contests since 2018.

While Jimmy G’s health (and play) are question marks, this offense still has plenty of depth.

Raheem Mostert has Trey Sermon as his backup, which will be a productive tandem for the ground game. Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk will continue to thrive alongside George Kittle in the passing game, as well.

This team will have its work cut out for them in their gauntlet of a division. Just look for yourself where the NFC West falls in line in our 2021 NFL division rankings.

The good news for San Francisco is Kyle Shanahan will have the tools in place to challenge another NFC crown.

Green Bay Packers (+300)

Aaron Rodgers has appeared in five NFC title games thus far in his illustrious career. Winning has always been there in the regular season for Green Bay.

The Packers have appeared in 10 of the last 12 postseasons with Rodgers under center.

However, the postseason production has been a bit inconsistent with a record of 11-9. Rodgers is hopeful the talent around him is good enough to make a push towards another NFC title opportunity.

The problem? Once there, Green Bay hasn’t really gotten it done. Just look at their last four trips to the NFC Championship.

The star talent should allow Rodgers to have another MVP-like season. Davante Adams is coming off a career-high in scores with 18, and he hauled in a career-high 115 receptions too.

The two make up one of the best QB/WR duos in the NFL in 2021. One of the best route runners in the NFL has built a tremendous rapport with Rodgers.

The issue has been being able to connect with the role players consistently. Robert Tonyan hauled in 11 receiving scores last season, making him the number two option once the Packers offense is towards the goal-line. Aaron Jones has been a consistent threat out of the backfield as a receiver, but the third-down receivers need to develop.

Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are the two players that must step their games up against the elite competition. They need to find ways to get open and expose opposing defensive backs.

The value is there for Green Bay to make a return run towards the NFC Championship game.

They are in a division that has had at least two teams finish with a non-winning record. To see how highly touted the Packers are, check out the NFC North strengths and weaknesses for 2021.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+100)

The defending champs did not win the NFC South last season, but they sure caught fire in the postseason.

They have over double the odds that any team has of winning the NFC (+275) at the best NFL betting sites. They are also favored to land the number one seed in the NFC (+200), as well.

This team has star talent on both sides of the ball.

Lavonte David and Devin White were unstoppable in the postseason. They are two of the five best in the entire league, and their superior defensive line certainly can dominate as well.

The offensive line was a concern for most of the season. Tampa was struggling with a 7-5 record going in their bye week. They grew up in front of our very own eyes, and Tom Brady took care of the rest on offense.

The pieces fit well due to playoff Lenny. Leonard Fournette had a nose for the end zone and was able to play well down the stretch of the season. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and even Scotty Miller stayed healthy and produced towards the end.

The legend of Brady continues, and now Bruce Arians gets the privilege of defending the NFC crown.

The season would be a disappointment if they cannot reach the NFC title game, but Brady has been far too consistent at home in the postseason (20-4, all-time).

Tampa Bay is the consensus favorite to reach the Super Bowl, and it would be considered an NCAA Tournament-like upset to see them fall short of an NFC Championship appearance.

My Top Bet – Los Angeles Rams (+225)

The Rams went to the NFC Championship game three seasons ago, and they conquered the New Orleans Saints in a thrilling overtime victory. Their defense and special teams dominated and allowed Sean McVay to reach his first Super Bowl.

Once again, the Rams stand out as one of the best bets to reach the NFC Championship in 2021.

The addition of Matthew Stafford should allow returning for a deep postseason run. Jared Goff caught flack last season, but his inability to convert down the field or stay healthy was ultimately his undoing.

The Rams may have lost their top back in Cam Akers, but Darrell Henderson is a capable runner that can flourish in McVay’s offense with Stafford under center. The main difference would be the caliber of defenses.

Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey have been two of the better defenders in the league for years.

The Rams look like the best team on paper in the entire conference, so they have the slightest edge entering the season.

Whether you go with the Rams or not, these are some of the best bets to reach the 2021 NFC title game. Check out some more great options for betting on the NFL in 2021 below.
