Best Bets for NFL Parlays in Week 12, 2020
My favorite NFL parlay didn’t go as planned last week. The Patriots made sure of that with a loss in Houston, while the “swing for the fences” backing of the Jets to get their first win didn’t work out, either.
That may normally call for a more reserved NFL parlay picks post going into week 12, but I don’t see a point in piecing together a parlay that doesn’t offer considerable upside.
If you’re already taking on risk by knowing you need every pick to be right, you might as well get a big reward if it hits. Now, maybe going for the Jets of all teams wasn’t the best call, but upside is still the name of the game here.
That said, I’m looking for some strong bets that have a good chance of converting, and of course, I need that one value bet that makes it all worth your while.
This is a weird week with Thanksgiving disrupting the schedule, but I still see some nice bets to attack. With that, here are my top parlay picks for NFL week 12.
Chargers vs. Bills Over 54 (-115)
When I first looked at this game in this week’s early NFL odds breakdown, the game total was set at 52 at most NFL betting websites.
It’s already upped by two points, and it’s quite possible it isn’t done.
Josh Allen and the Bills are going to be well-rested and ready to rock following a bye week, and Justin Herbert is clearly feeling it.
I’ll hammer this one into this week’s NFL parlay picks, and if you need to, feel free to shop around for a lower total. Either way, this is a game between two very good (and explosive) offenses, as well as defenses that give up production.
Buffalo and Los Angeles happen to be among the leaders in having games hit the Over, too.
Chicago Bears (+8.5) -110
The Bears head to Lambeau Field this week to hopefully stop the bleeding. They’ve lost four straight, having erased the promises of a 5-1 start.
Chicago is now on the road against one of the better teams in the NFL. This is their last gasp at a shot at winning the NFC North, and they don’t even know who their quarterback is.
It’s laughable, but I still can’t buy the Packers to win by nine points here.
This is still a tense divisional clash against a very solid Bears defense. And if it ends up being Mitch Trubisky who takes over for the Bears under center, it’s quite possible he’s exactly what their offense needs to begin turning the corner.
More than anything, though, this is do or die time for the Bears. They have the defense to stick in this game, and Green Bay clearing them by nine points (especially considering their middling form lately) just feels like a tall order.
Tennessee Titans to Win (+175)
Lastly, I’ll go with the Titans to get the straight-up win in week 12.
They’re among my favorite week 12 NFL underdogs to bet on, and they have some nice momentum after taking down the Ravens in overtime last week.
Tennessee let things get away from them the last time they battled the Colts, but they know their opponent well, and they also can’t really afford to go down 2-0 in the season series.
The Titans are still a very strong 7-3, but a loss here would put them a full game behind the Colts. They’d then need to find a way to finish with one more win than Indy to win the AFC South later in the season.
Green Bay may have given the Titans the blueprint to getting it done, too. Had it not been for some costly turnovers, the Packers probably take down Indianapolis last week.
There’s also just the fact that Derrick Henry might be ready to go on another one of his coined late-season tears. This “won’t be denied” jaunt in OT last week might tell us all we need to know.
Top Week 12 NFL Parlay Bet
- Chargers vs. Bills Over 54 (-115)
- Chicago Bears (+8.5) -110
- Tennessee Titans to Win (+175)
The potential isn’t through the roof like it has been in past weeks, but you’re still getting a good amount back ($100 bet gets $902.27 back) for the risk.
Tennessee is one of my top upset picks for the week, so if you’re with me there, look at it this way. Risking $100 brings back $175 for that bet, but you can tack on two extra wagers to push the earnings to over $900.
The risk is worth the reward, and hey, we don’t have to bet on the Jets!
