Best Bets for MLS Games on Sunday, November 8, 2020 – This Week’s Top Picks

All 26 MLS teams are in action this weekend as the final round of regular-season fixtures takes place on Sunday, November 8.
The Supporters’ Shield is still up for grabs, while two playoff places must be filled in the Eastern Conference. With home advantage and seedings also needing to be finalized, there is still plenty to be decided.
Join me as I share Sunday’s top MLS picks and look at the best value bets for the final day of the regular season.
Orlando City vs. Nashville SC – Under 2.5 Goals (1.90)
Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over Columbus Crew saw Orlando City claim their third straight victory. Better still, the Lions have only lost one of their last 16 games.
Meanwhile, Nashville’s five-game unbeaten streak was ended by FC Dallas in midweek. The Boys in Gold propelled themselves into the playoffs with a run of three wins and two draws, although the Toros were too strong for the team from Tennessee last time out.
Gary Smith’s men are the second-lowest scorers in the Eastern Conference, but they also boast the joint-best defensive record in the division. Their contrasting fortunes at both ends of the pitch have led to Nashville being involved in a large number of low-scoring games this term.

In fact, 16 of Nashville’s 22 games this year have produced under 2.5 goals, while each of their previous four outings have seen less than three goals scored.
The Lions are the second-highest scorers in the East, although it is worth pointing out that four of their last seven games have produced under 2.5 goals.
In my Orlando City vs. Nashville SC betting preview, I predicted that Orlando will win this weekend. But with the Boys in Gold defending so well at the moment, the under 2.5 goals market offers excellent value.
San Jose Earthquakes and Draw – Double Chance (2.25)
San Jose travels to CenturyLink Field to face Seattle Sounders on Sunday, with the bookmakers heavily favoring the home side. The Seattle win is currently valued at 1.66, while the price for the Quakes victory is all the way out at 4.65.
However, with Seattle stuttering in recent weeks and San Jose on the rise, I can see the California outfit avoiding defeat on Sunday.
You can find my betting preview for this matchup here. I predicted that San Jose will frustrate the Sounders and snatch a draw, but the double chance market is also a hugely profitable option.

Seattle has a six-point lead and a game in hand over the Quakes, yet Brian Schmetzer’s side has only managed to win one of their last six encounters. The Sounders also head into the final weekend of the regular season on a two-game winless run.
On the flip side, San Jose has enjoyed a remarkable turnaround of late. The Quakes have lost just two of their previous nine matches and come into this one on the back of two straight victories.
It feels like the momentum is firmly with San Jose right now. In my opinion, backing the Quakes to avoid defeat against off-form Seattle makes perfect sense.
Sporting Kansas City to Beat Real Salt Lake (2.35)
If you check out my Real Salt Lake vs. Sporting Kansas City betting preview, you will see that I am pretty excited about the odds for this game.
SKC is flying high at the top of the Western Conference, with RSL languishing second from bottom. But the price for the away win is 2.35!
With all eight playoff spots occupied in the West, the Claret & Cobalt has nothing left to play for this season. But on the other hand, the Wizards’ incentive could not be bigger. If Peter Vermes’ men win on Sunday, they are guaranteed first place in the division.
The door opened for #SportingKC last night…

If we run through it on Decision Day vs @realsaltlake, we finish atop the West. https://t.co/xHJlzBpWSc
Sporting KC has only suffered one defeat in their last seven outings, with back-to-back clean-sheet victories coming against Colorado Rapids (4-0) and FC Cincinnati (1-0) in their previous two matches.
By contrast, Real Salt Lake has only managed to win of their last eight games and heads into Sunday’s showdown on the back of consecutive defeats to San Jose (2-0) and LA Galaxy (2-1).
I suggest jumping on this bet quickly before the bookmakers change their mind!
