Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Betting Preview – NFL, Week 12, 2020

Thanksgiving is nearing, as well as the marquee matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, as the NFL betting action continues with Week 12.
Back in Week 8, the Steelers outlasted the Ravens 28-24 as 4-point road underdogs. They enter Thursday’s clash with a perfect 10-0 score, while the 6-4 Ravens desperately need a win to get into the playoff picture.
Excitements are guaranteed as two super talented teams meet on Thanksgiving Day, so here’s my Ravens vs. Steelers betting pick along with the latest odds update.
Ravens vs. Steelers Odds
As the only unbeaten team in the NFL, the Steelers opened as 3.5-point favorites on Bovada Sportsbook. Interestingly, the Steelers lost four of their previous six home encounters with the Ravens. Last year, Baltimore defeated Pittsburgh at Heinz Field, 26-23.
Baltimore Ravens Analysis
The Ravens are in big trouble after dropping three of their last four games, including the previous two. They are coming off a disappointing 30-24 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans this past Sunday, blowing a comfortable 11-point second-half lead.
Baltimore allowed 423 total yards to the Titans while racking up only 306 in return. The Ravens converted just one of their four red-zone attempts, while Lamar Jackson had another mediocre game, tossing for 186 yards, a TD, and an interception.
Although their ground game is the best in the NFL with 160.5 rushing yards per contest, the Ravens are tallying only 183.4 passing yards per game (31st in the NFL). Their receiving corps is undoubtedly among the worst in the league, giving little help to Lamar Jackson, who’s been struggling all season long.
At least, the Ravens’ defense is doing a good job, allowing 19.5 points per game (3rd) on 333.0 total yards (8th).
Pittsburgh Steelers Analysis
The Steelers had no problems to satisfy the odds in Week 11. They easily defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-3 as 10.5-point road favorites, covering the spread for the seventh time in their last eight outings.
Pittsburgh’s mighty defense tortured the Jags all day, yielding 206 total yards along with one red-zone attempt. The Steelers picked off Jake Luton four times and added a couple of sacks for 18 yards, too, while allowing their offense to spend almost 37 minutes on the field.
Ben Roethlisberger completed 32 of his 46 passing attempts for 267 yards and a pair of touchdowns. James Conner had 13 carries for 89 yards, while Diontae Johnson posted 12 receptions for 111 yards.
The Steelers are scoring 29.8 points per game (4th in the NFL) while surrendering just 17.4 in return (1st).
Ravens vs. Steelers Pick
-
Baltimore Ravens +3.5-110
It’s safe to say that Baltimore’s season is on the brink after a loss to the Titans, so the Ravens just have to regroup and put on a strong performance in Pittsburgh.
They blew a 10-point lead in that 28-24 defeat to the Steelers in Week 8, and I expect to see another tight contest between these two AFC North foes. The Ravens’ offense will struggle against the best defense in the league, but Baltimore’s D is certainly capable of slowing down the Steelers’ offense.
Therefore, I’m backing the Ravens to cover. They are 4-0-2 ATS in the last six visits to Heinz Field. The Steelers have been ridiculous against the spread lately, and I’m looking for some regression in Week 12.
