Arsenal vs. Wolves Betting – EPL, November 29, 2020
Both these clubs have received plaudits for their performances this season but find themselves a little way off the top of the table and unable to string together some consistent victories and results.
There is a whole host of clubs stuck in the middle of the table at the moment and both Arsenal and Wolves will want to be challenging further up the standings soon.
Here’s my Arsenal vs. Wolves betting preview with a prediction and pick.
Arsenal vs. Wolves Odds
This is another game where I’m slightly confused by the way the sportsbooks have priced the fixture. The odds are quite close but I think Wolves has looked the better of the two this season and I would have expected the draw bet to hold the best value. Wolves could win this one and those odds make that wager more tempting.
Team Form
The goalless draw at Leeds last weekend should probably be viewed as a good result for Arsenal. But the lack of goals is beginning to be a real problem. Only Burnley have scored fewer than the Gunners – outside the bottom three – and there seems to be a feeling that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not being used to his full potential so far.
Mikel Arteta will also be concerned that he will be without Nicolas Pepe – after his red card against Leeds – and Thomas Partey. The Ghanaian has looked an excellent addition to the team and will be sorely missed. Another draw would actually be a good result for Arsenal on Sunday. But it is three points that the club really needs at the moment.
Wolves is another side that has lacked consistency this season. There was a four-game unbeaten run before the international break, but Nuno Espirito Santo’s team has dropped points to West Ham and Newcastle already this year. Wolves looked like to it was going to compete for Europe again this season but has not looked completely settled as yet.
The 1-1 draw with Southampton on Monday was a good result, even though it was two more points lost at home. But the departure of Diogo Jota at the end of the transfer window seems to have effected Wolves more than most people would have thought. Raul Jimenez probably has to start scoring a few more goals to make the team more confident in its abilities.
Arsenal vs. Wolves Pick
-
Wolverhampton Wanderers to Win+265
Arsenal will continue to miss Partey in the middle of the pitch and I think that the attacking players in the Wolves team will exploit that weakness and ultimately win this game. The odds for the Wolves win look good, considering Arsenal’s injuries and goal scoring problems.
