Arsenal vs. Dundalk Betting Preview – Europa League, October 29, 2020
There are plenty of heavyweight Europa League clashes this week, with AC Milan, Napoli, and Tottenham all in action. However, Arsenal vs. Dundalk has to be the biggest mismatch of Matchday 2.
The Gunners were the pre-tournament favorites to clinch this year’s trophy, while the Irish minnows were the bookies’ rank outsiders. Arsenal already has a three-point lead over Dundalk in Group B, and the gap is likely to widen when the two sides clash at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday, October 29.

Arsenal vs. Dundalk Odds
You will not find a bigger odds gap in the Europa League this week. Of course, 10bet has made Arsenal (1.05) the overwhelming favorite to win this one, with Dundalk (23.00) the clear outsider.
Even the price for the draw (13.00) is massive. But does Dundalk really stand a chance? Let’s take a closer look at the teams.
Assessing the Teams
It took Arsenal a while to click into gear against Rapid Vienna last week. The EPL giant went behind early in the second half, although two goals in the space of four minutes from David Luiz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saw the Gunners turn the game around and claim all three points.
Still, Mikel Arteta’s men have lost three of their previous four Premier League games. Defeats to Liverpool, Manchester City, and Leicester suggest that Arsenal is likely to struggle against England’s top teams this season.
Arteta will view the visit of Dundalk as the perfect opportunity to get back on track. His squad is packed with world-class stars, and they shouldn’t find it difficult to beat the visitors. The Arsenal boss is expected to rotate his starting XI, but the players who come into the team should get the job done.
After impressing on his full debut for the club, defensive midfielder Thomas Partey looks set to play a key role on Thursday.

Dundalk managed to hold onto a 1-0 lead until the hour mark against Molde. Sean Murray put the Lilywhites ahead in the first half, but following mounting pressure, the Norwegians scored twice to snatch the victory.
Nobody expected Dundalk to make an impact on the European stage this season, so I think Filippo Giovagnoli can be extremely proud of his players’ efforts on Matchday 1.
Having said that, Molde is not Arsenal. The Gunners are far stronger than the Norwegian side, so Dundalk must remain hugely disciplined if they are to stand any chance of fending off the EPL giant.
Things haven’t exactly gone to plan for Dundalk domestically, either. Giovagnoli’s men have only managed to win two of their previous six league games, and they find themselves 3rd in the League of Ireland Premier Division – 13 points behind frontrunners Shamrock Rovers.
Arsenal vs. Dundalk Pick
Arsenal to Win1.05
Yes, the odds for the home win are extremely low here. But the Gunners simply can’t lose this game, can they? Arsenal is on a completely different level to Dundalk, so anything other than a home win would be a colossal shock.
If you don’t want to lay down a big stake on this matchup, I recommend using this bet to bolster an accumulator.
