Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks – NFL Week 11, 2020
Week 11 Thursday Night Football brings a tremendous clash between the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field in Seattle.
These two NFC West foes already met each other in Week 7 when the Cardinals upset the Seahawks 37-34 in overtime as 3.5-point home underdogs with a total of 55.5 points.
We should see another dramatic battle Thursday, November 19, so here’s my best Cardinals vs. Seahawks betting pick.
Cardinals vs. Seahawks Odds
This game could easily go either way, and the stake is enormous for each side. While the 49ers sit bottom of the NFC West with a 4-6 record, all other three teams have a 6-3 record and are legitimate playoff contenders.
The bookies expect to see a bunch of points, as both Arizona and Seattle are capable of putting some serious numbers on the scoreboard. Also, neither side can brag with a tough D.
Arizona Cardinals Form
The Cardinals barely avoided the second straight loss in Week 10, beating the Buffalo Bills 32-30 thanks to Kyler Murray’s Hail Mary pass and DeAndre Hopkins tremendous catch. It was a big moment for the Cardinals, who overcame a 14-point second-half deficit.
Still, Arizona cannot be fully satisfied despite scoring 30-plus points for the fifth straight outing. Over their last three showings, the Cardinals allowed 98 points in total and suffered a tough 34-31 home defeat to Miami in Week 9.
Against the Bills, Kyler Murray went 22-from-32 for a TD and an interception, but he also carried the ball 11 times for 61 yards and two touchdowns. The Cardinals racked up 217 yards on the ground, while their defense surrendered 369 total yards in a return.
Arizona is ninth in the league in points allowed per game (23.3) and sixth in points scored per contest (29.6).
Seattle Seahawks Form
The Seahawks are in crisis after dropping three of their last four games including the previous two. They lost at Buffalo 44-34 in Week 9, while the Seahawks put on a terrible performance in a 23-16 defeat at the Los Angeles Rams this past Sunday.
Seattle scored only a field goal in the second half against the Rams. Russell Wilson completed 22 of his 37 passing attempts for 248 yards and two interceptions, while both D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Locket disappointed, combining for seven receptions and 94 yards.
Wilson has struggled mightily over the last few weeks, throwing for nine touchdowns and whopping seven interceptions in his previous four outings.
The Seahawks are tallying 32.2 points per game which are the most in the NFL, but they are yielding 29.6 points per contest, enough for the fifth-worst in the league.
Cardinals vs. Seahawks Pick
Seattle Seahawks -2.5-138
Seattle misses Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde, so their backfield is quite short-handed. This means Russell Wilson has to break out of his funk, or the Seahawks will be in big trouble.
I think Wilson will bounce back in this one, as well as D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. The Rams’ secondary is way better than the Cardinals’, so I expect the Seahawks’ offense to dominate this game at home and cover a 2.5-point spread.
Seattle’s defense is a big issue, but the Cardinals have shown a lot of defensive problems, too. The Seahawks are only 1-6-1 ATS in their previous eight encounters with the Cardinals. However, they are 4-0 straight up and 3-1 ATS in the last four contests at CenturyLink Field.
