Arizona Cardinals vs. Dallas Cowboys Betting – NFL, Week 6, 2020

Week 6 of the 2020 NFL season will wrap up with the NFC showdown between the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.
The Cowboys are leading the NL East with a 2-3 record. That tells you enough about how strong or weak the Cowboys’ division is this season. On the other side, the 3-2 Cardinals are sitting at the third spot of the NL West.
I’m bringing you the best betting pick for the Cardinals vs. Cowboys clash at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, along with the latest odds for Week 6 Monday Night Football.
Cardinals vs. Cowboys Odds
BET | ODDS |
Cardinals -2.5 | -110 |
Cowboys +2.5 | -110 |
Cardinals to Win | -140 |
Cowboys to Win | +125 |
Over 54.5 | -110 |
Under 54.5 | -110 |
The Cowboys will miss their starting QB for the rest of the season, as Dak Prescott suffered a gruesome ankle injury last Sunday. Therefore, the Cowboys are slight dogs in this one, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the odds change a bit in the next few days.
Anyway, I’m more interested in the totals, and the bookies set the line at 54.5 points. A proper firecracker is expected, as two potent offenses take on each other.
Arizona Cardinals
After two straight losses to Detroit 26-23 and at Carolina 31-21, the Cardinals bounced back in Week 5 and easily defeated the New York Jets 30-10 as 7-point road favorites.
Kyler Murray put on a strong performance against the Jets, tossing for 380 yards, a TD, and an interception while carrying the pigskin nine times for 31 yards and a TD. DeAndre Hopkins had six catches for 131 yards and one score, while the Cardinals’ defense allowed only 285 total yards.
It was a dominant display against the hapless Jets’ offense, and the Cardinals are now fifth in the league in points allowed per game (20.4). On the other side of the ball, the Cardinals are scoring 25.6 points per contest (16th in the NFL).
Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott was on the pace to post some ridiculous numbers in 2020. However, Dak is done for the season and will leave the third-highest scoring offense to Andy Dalton.
After nine years in Cincinnati, Dalton joined the Cowboys last offseason. He had a 2-11 record in 13 starts for the Bengals last season, throwing for 3,494 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.
Dalton will lean on some top-notch playmakers, as the Cowboys’ offense is loaded with talented players. Dallas is scoring 32.6 points per game on 488.0 total yards, but the Boys are yielding 36.0 points per contest (32nd in the NFL).
I’m not sure how to describe the Cowboys’ defense. It’s probably the worst defensive unit I’ve ever seen, especially secondary. Dallas surrenders 248.6 passing yards (20th) and 155.8 rushing yards per game (27th).
The Boys just yielded 34 points to the second-worst offense in the league, still overcoming the New York Giants 37-34 as 9.5-point home favorites.
Cardinals vs. Cowboys Pick
Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins will destroy the Cowboys’ defense. Even if DeAndre Hopkins breaks his leg, Murray will toss for a few touchdowns and 300-plus yards.
The Cowboys will probably improve defensively in the next few weeks, but that won’t be enough.
On the other side, Andy Dalton will need some time to get things going in Dallas, but I think the Cowboys will continue to score a lot even with the former Bengal under center. Therefore, I’m backing the over on the totals, expecting both clubs to put some serious numbers on the scoreboard.
The Cardinals lost Chandler Jones in Week 5 due to a biceps injury. Jones is a key linebacker for Arizona, so the Cardinals could be in trouble.
