Aqueduct Racetrack Picks – Friday, February 26, 2021

Aqueduct Racetrack heads into the racing weekend with an eight-race card of maiden, starter, allowance, and claiming matches.
While I review the three richest races here, remember that you can find Aqueduct’s entire eight-race card for Friday — including horses, jockeys, trainers, morning line odds, and wagering options — at one of our top online racebooks.
Read on for my Aqueduct Racetrack picks and betting tips for the three richest races for Friday, February 26, 2021.
Pick for Aqueduct Racetrack Race 4
This is an allowance optional claiming race for New York-foaled fillies and mares four years old and upward running a distance of six furlongs for a purse of $74,000.
My money is on the 6/5 morning line favorite in this race — Miss Jimmy, with Dylan Davis in the irons. This five-year-old mare moneyed 17 of her 19 career starts, winning eight of them.
Her nearest competitor, the second-favored (7/5) Ruvies in Time, finished in the money seven of her 19 career starts, winning four.
As far as value show bet recommendations go, both of the longer-odds entries in this race don’t have the records to warrant the risk of such a bet, so we’ll save our long money for later.
- Win: Miss Jimmy 6/5
Pick for Aqueduct Racetrack Race 5
This is a maiden special weight race for three-year-olds running a distance of six furlongs for a purse of $80,000.
I like the top half of the coupled entry in for this race — the second-favored (3/1) Kid Cash, ridden by Romero Ramsay Maragh. This colt moneyed two of his four career starts, chalking up solid speed figures and has performed better than his competition in recent workouts.
While there are two longer odds entries in this race, I don’t believe either of them will show up at the finish line in time for payday.
- Win: Kid Cash 3/1
Picks for Aqueduct Racetrack Race 7
This is an allowance race for New York-foaled fillies and mares four years old and upward running a distance of one mile for a purse of $72,000.
I like the 2/1 morning line favorite for this race — Mabel Island, with Jorge A. Vargas, Jr. aboard. This four-year-old filly finished in the money six of her 11 career starts, winning four.
At 15/1, My My Michelle, with Pablo Morales in the irons, looks very good for a value show ticket. This four-year-old filly moneyed three of her four career starts, winning one. In fact, you might want to consider an across-the-board wager here.
- Win: Mabel Island 2/1
- Show/Across the Board: My My Michelle 15/1
