Andrey Rublev vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas – French Open, October 7, 2020
This is the first French Open quarterfinal for both Andrey Rublev and Stefanos Tsitsipas, but I’m sure that both men will be hungry for more in Paris. They have been pushing the elite for a while now and it was about time for a solid run in a Grand Slam tournament.
I have the feeling we will see a lot of epic battles between the duo in the near future, considering the fact that both athletes are only 22 right now.
I share my thoughts on this one in my Andrey Rublev vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas betting preview. The post includes the latest odds and lines, an overview of both players, my prediction, and a free betting pick.

The Andrey Rublev vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas odds offered by the top French Open betting sites show us that they view this clash as the closest quarterfinal and there is no clear favorite. My assessment of the upcoming match is similar, as you can see in my analysis below.
Andrey Rublev Analysis and Form
Ever since tennis returned, Andrey Rublev has been one of the top players on the tour. He reached the quarterfinals of the US Open and then proceeded to win the German Open, beating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final.
That was a sign of things to come in Paris and after a slow start, Rublev improved to win four matches in a row. As always, his biggest problem has been the overly aggressive style that has led to too many errors at times.
And yet, the Russian’s balance has been much better compared to the earlier stages in his career which is why he has done better recently. I don’t think he is ready to compete with the likes of Djokovic and Nadal yet, but Tsitsipas is a beatable opponent.
Rublev already has three wins from five matches against him, including this year’s final in Hamburg and their early clash in the 2019 US Open.
Stefanos Tsitsipas Analysis and Form
Similarly to Rublev, Stefanos Tsitsipas had to go through a grueling match that went the distance in the opening round of the 2020 Roland-Garros. I believe it was mostly because both men were still tired from the German Open. The Greek youngster recovered well and is yet to lose a set since.
He beat some dangerous opponents like Pablo Cuevas and Grigor Dimitrov on the road to the French Open 2020 quarterfinals.
Tsitsipas has managed to stay aggressive in most matches and that has been the key to success. And yet, he hasn’t faced someone as good as Rublev up to this point and the Russian will put him under a lot of pressure as well.
Rublev vs. Tsitsipas Betting Pick
I view this clash as a coin toss and Rublev has managed to win the two most important matches in the head-to-head history against Tsitsipas. That’s why getting a price of +132 for the Russian is the best betting pick, in my opinion.
Rublev to win+132
