Predictions for All Fights at UFC Vegas 37 With Top Picks and Sleepers
Following a brief break, the UFC is back this Saturday, September 18, at the Apex in Las Vegas.
A crucial light heavyweight bout between Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann headlines the event. It’s clear that this one has the ingredients to be one of the best UFC fights to bet on this September, and I’ll be talking you through the right way to attack it.
If you’re looking for predictions for UFC Vegas 37, including top picks and sleepers, keep reading!
Anthony Smith vs. Ryan Spann
The first of my predictions for UFC Vegas 37 comes in the main event between Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann.
Smith is moving his way back up the light heavyweight rankings, following back-to-back first-round victories over Devin Clark and Jimmy Crute. The former title challenger looked impressive in both of those fights, having suffered consecutive losses to Glover Teixeira and Aleksandr Rakic in 2020.
The odds for Smith vs. Spann make “Lionheart” a slight favorite on the night. But I’m not so sure about backing him against someone as devastatingly powerful as Spann.
5-1 in the UFC, Spann was on an eight-fight streak before being stopped by Johnny Walker in September 2020. He bounced back from that loss with a first-round TKO of Misha Cirkunov in March.
This is a great matchup, as indicated by the UFC betting line for Smith vs. Spann. Unfortunately, that makes it a tough fight to call. So, if you’re looking for a lock pick for UFC Vegas 37, it won’t come from this one.
A tough nut to crack, I don’t believe Smith is explosive enough to stop him on the feet, and his intentions will more than likely be to take it to the ground.
In order to do that, Smith will need to get inside Spann’s range. He can do this by feinting and shooting under the right hand. But if he gets his timing wrong, it’s lights out.
Go for the incredible value here and bet on Spann to beat Smith on the night by KO/TKO. Although the latter is the smarter and better-rounded of the pair, Spann’s power is on another level.
- Pick: Spann to Win by KO/TKO +550
Ion Cutelaba vs. Devin Clark
One of the best UFC fights to bet on in September, Cutelaba vs. Clark should be a fun watch.
Cutelaba has his back to the wall and needs a win to secure his place in the UFC. Perhaps there is a blessing in the fact that he fights at light heavyweight, which is one of the least competitive divisions in the promotion. Still, one win from his last five fights has him close to the chopping block.
Clark is 3-2 from his last five, dropping submission losses to the headliners, Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann. This is his first fight in 2021, and it’ll likely take him a little time to get his bearings. Therefore, Cutelaba’s best strategy here is to go at him early and look for the finish.
The prediction for Cutelaba vs. Clark is a knockout win for the Moldovan. I think he’s too powerful and awkward for “Brown Bear” to handle, and I can see him struggling with the exchanges and succumbing to a knockout in the second round.
The UFC Vegas 37 odds favor Cutelaba to win at -140. While I think that price is acceptable, I do also recommend checking out the prop bets for UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Clark.
- Pick: Cutelaba to Win -140
Ariane Lipski vs. Mandy Bohm
This one was pushed back a couple of weeks, having initially been penciled in for UFC Vegas 36.
I’m standing by my earlier assertion that the fight is close enough to be considered a toss-up. However, Bohm has just a bit more firepower than Lipski, and you have to consider that.
It’s for that reason that Bohm will be among my top betting picks for UFC Vegas 37. She’s unbeaten, with a record of 7-0 on the regional circuit. The majority of her wins have come in German promotions, but she did pick up a victory over Griet Eeckhout in Bellator.
Lipski, known as the “Queen of Violence,” has stoppage losses to Antonina Shevchenko and Montana De La Rosa from her last two bouts. Given that the aforementioned fighters aren’t regarded as the biggest bangers in the UFC women’s flyweight division, that’s bad news for her.
Consider my prediction for UFC Vegas 37’s only female fight on the main card when placing your wagers. I think backing Bohm for the knockout is a good shout at +280, but Lipski could hang in there until the final bell.
This is Bohm’s best opponent to date, so take the moneyline odds. She’s currently +105 to win, which is nice.
- Pick: Bohm to Win +105
Arman Tsarukyan vs. Christos Giagos
Tsarukyan vs. Giagos will be another top fight to bet on at UFC Vegas 37.
This is the Russian’s first fight as a ranked lightweight, having cracked the top-15 at 155-pounds with some impressive displays. His only loss in 15 fights was against the impressive Islam Makhachev in his UFC debut. He responded in style to the defeat, however, with wins over Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Davi Ramos, and Matt Frevola.
Tsarukan is one of the best prospects in the UFC lightweight division, and fans will be keen to see how he passes a tough test in Christos Giagos.
It’s going to be a good fight, but I’m leaning towards the Russian handing “The Spartan” a defeat on the night. I think he’s the better athlete and super-efficient in all areas. He should be able to close down Giagos and prevent him from getting a foothold on the flow of things.
Although Tsarukyan is yet to pick up a finish win in the UFC thus far, I’m going for a submission victory for the 24-year-old in my UFC Vegas 37 predictions. At odds of -820 to win, there’s absolutely no value in betting on the moneyline.
- Pick: Tsarukyan by Submission +450
Joaquin Buckley vs. Antonio Arroyo
The last of my main card predictions for UFC Vegas 37 focuses on what should be an absolute barn burner between Joaquin Buckley and Antonio Arroyo.
Buckley’s stock skyrocketed with his incredible knockout of Impa Kasanganay in 2020. Since then, fans have been hyped to see the American inside the cage. Saturday’s night will be no different, with the middleweight hopeful looking to bounce back from a stoppage loss to Alessio Di Chirico in January.
Contender Series alumnus Arroyo has dropped back-to-back decision losses to Andre Muniz and Deron Winn since joining the UFC. But he is nicely priced to pull off the upset here.
The Brazilian could make for one of the best sleepers for UFC Vegas 37, given that he has never been stopped by strikes. His four career losses include two submissions and some smart grappling from both Muniz and Winn. I don’t expect Buckley to be as proficient in the clinch or the ground.
I’ll take Arroyo to win by KO/TKO for some nice plus money odds.
- Pick: Arroyo by KO/TKO +275

Time to take a look at some more UFC Vegas 37 predictions.
The fights above are all scheduled to appear on the prelims portion of the card. There are some interesting ones, no doubt.
At the top of this week’s undercard is a scrap between Mike Rodriguez and Tafon Nchukwi, which I see going in favor of the latter. Power should be the equalizer in this one, and “Da Don” has it in abundance.
Pannie Kianzad vs. Raquel Pennington is another top fight to look out for if you’re betting on UFC Vegas 37.
The #8 and #9 ranked women’s bantamweights are hard to separate, but I believe Kianzad should be able to maul her way to a unanimous decision victory.

Top Bets for UFC Vegas 37
I have three top picks for UFC Vegas 37 for you to consider.
The first is Erin Blanchfield to get the win over Sarah Alpar by decision. The reason why I’m backing Erin in this one is that she is clearly the more talented of the pair and should improve her record to 6-1 at the expense of her opponent.
Her five-inch reach advantage should come in very handy on the night, keeping her safe behind a long jab as she picks the 9-5 Texan apart from range.
Cutelaba to beat Clark is another of my best bets to place on UFC Vegas 37.
The Moldovan’s blitzkrieg approach should work wonders against a cold Winn. I can see Cutelaba ending this one in style and saving his bacon in the promotion.
Finally, Jackson to beat Buys by KO/TKO at +100 is just excellent value.
Buys is not UFC standard, in my opinion, and Jackson should expose his vulnerabilities on the night. At -625 on the moneyline, it makes sense to go for the UFC Vegas 37 props here and take the KO/TKO market.
Best Sleeper Picks for UFC Vegas 37
Speaking of top props for UFC Vegas 37.
All of my sleepers for this weekend’s fights are props, with Spann to beat Smith by KO/TKO, a real sidewinder. I think these odds are underestimating Spann’s power while giving Smith’s chin a little more credit than it deserves at this point.
The second of my UFC Vegas 37 props and sleepers to look at is just as juicy.
If you’re offering me +450 for Tsarukyan to get the win over Giagos by submission, I’m biting. This bet is well worth a punt.
Finally, I like Arroyo to stun Buckley and pick up the KO/TKO.
If Alessio Di Chirico can do it, you can bet that Arroyo is a candidate to earn a stoppage. At these odds, you should take notice.
