The last day of October brings plenty of interesting markets around the Spanish La Liga, so I’ve prepared the best Alaves vs. Barcelona betting pick along with the most important betting tips and the latest team news and odds update.

Barcelona won eight straight matchups with Alaves, and the reigning La Liga vice-champions will look to extend their dominance Saturday at Estadio Mendizorrotza, but the hosts will be fired up to prove their worth against one of the world’s best teams.

Alaves vs. Barcelona Odds

Alaves +1.5 -147
Barcelona -1.5 +134
Alaves to Win +550
Barcelona to Win -200
Draw +350
Over 3.0 +110
Under 3.0 -125

Barcelona to win at -200 odds certainly looks tempting. And those +134 odds on Barca to win by two or more goals seem even more alluring.

Alaves conceded only eight goals in its first seven La Liga outings this season, so the bookies don’t expect to see a proper high-scoring affair despite Barcelona’s attacking potential.

Five of those Alaves’ seven games produced fewer than three goals in total.

A Look at the Teams

Alaves is sitting at the 15th spot of the La Liga standings with seven points and a 5:8 goal difference. The Glorious One won two of its previous three contests along with a surprising 2-0 home loss to Elche.

Last time out, Alaves beat Valladolid 2-0 on the road. They hit a couple of second-half goals after missing the penalty kick in the first half, while Valladolid played with 10 men since the 21st minute when their left-back was sent off.

On the other side, Barcelona has earned only seven points out of its first five outings this La Liga season. Barca is sitting at the 12th spot of the table, and the reigning vice champs are winless in three straight La Liga games, tallying two losses and a draw in that span.

After a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Getafe, Barcelona suffered a painful 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the previous round.

Barca’s fans will demand satisfaction. Their beloved team blew a bunch of scoring opportunities, and a loss to Real Madrid is always inadmissible.

At least, Barcelona started its Champions League campaign in a strong fashion. After a 5-1 victory over Ferencvarosi, Barca beat Juventus 2-0 on the road this past Wednesday.

The 17-year-old forward Ansu Fati leads the way for Barca with five goals in seven games in all competitions, while Lionel Messi added three goals and four assists in seven outings.

Barcelona will miss midfielder Philippe Coutinho (hamstring) on Saturday, while goalie Marc-Andre ter Stegen (knee) is doubtful to play. Alaves will be without midfielder Pere Pons (foot).

Alaves vs. Barcelona Pick

A home defeat to their arch-rivals should drive Barca to do a much better job this Saturday, so I’m backing the visitors to win. Two straight losses are already way too much for Barca, and victory over Alaves is a must.

Of course, Barcelona is a much better team than Alaves on paper, but I’m also excited about Ansu Fati’s form. Furthermore, Lionel Messi has looked sharp over the last few weeks, so I think Barcelona shouldn’t have any problems to record its ninth straight victory over Alaves while scoring a couple of goals along the way.

Last season, Barca dismantled Alaves 4-1 at home and 5-0 at Estadio Mendizorrotza.
