AC Milan vs. Sparta Prague – Europa League, October 29, 2020
AC Milan will be aiming to extend their unbeaten start to the season when Sparta Prague visits San Siro on Thursday, October 29.
After nine games in all competitions, the Italian side is yet to taste defeat this term. A 3-1 victory over Celtic on Matchday 1 means Milan sit joint-top of Europa League Group H, while Sparta is bottom following a 4-1 defeat to Lille last week.

AC Milan vs. Sparta Prague Odds
The top online betting sites haven’t sprung any surprises with their odds for this matchup. Having started the season in formidable form, AC Milan (1.35) is the bookies’ clear favorite to win this one.
However, Sparta Prague (7.50) has been unstoppable in the Czech First League this term. The Reds have won each of their six domestic games in 2020/21, so they will surely fancy their chances of snatching a draw (5.05).
AC Milan vs. Sparta Prague Preview
With four wins and one draw from their opening five Serie A games, Stefano Pioli’s men find themselves two points clear at the summit of Italy’s top flight. Milan claimed four straight victories before finally being held to a draw by Roma last time out, despite Zlatan Ibrahimovic netting a double.
The veteran striker turned 39 earlier in the month, but he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon. Ibrahimovic has scored seven goals in five games in all competitions this season, including six in three Serie A outings.
The Rossoneri was made to fight for their victory over Celtic on Matchday 1, although when the Italians got their chances, they were clinical. Milan only had three shots on target last week, but goals from Rade Krunic, Brahim Diaz, and Jens Petter Hauge got the job done.

Meanwhile, Sparta was thrashed 4-1 by Lille in their Europa League opener. When Ladislav Krejci was sent off midway through the first half, it was always going to be difficult for the team to compete. Borek Dockal scored what proved to be a consolation goal for the Czechs, with Yusuf Yazici bagging a hat-trick for Lille.
But on home soil, the Reds have been ruthless this term. Six wins from six domestic games have seen them open up a two-point lead over cross-city rivals Slavia. Vaclav Kretinsky’s men have already netted 20 league goals this season and have only conceded six in reply.
However, after ending up on the receiving end of a thrashing to Lille, I can’t help but fear the worst for Sparta on Thursday. The Reds may be competing for the Czech title this term, but the Europa League is a completely different challenge altogether.
AC Milan vs. Sparta Prague Pick
AC Milan to Win1.35
I’ve been impressed with Sparta this season, but I can’t see the Czech side upsetting the odds on Thursday. Back home, the Reds have been unstoppable. But on the European stage, they are likely to struggle.
On the other hand, Milan looks ready to compete on all fronts this term. I’m backing Zlatan and co. to maintain their unbeaten start to 2020/21 by securing a comfortable win over Sparta.
