Team Stewart vs. Team Wilson WNBA Prediction – 2022 WNBA All-Star Game

The 2022 WNBA season has reached the halfway point, which can only mean one thing. It’s time for the 2022 WNBA All-Star Game.
We won’t see a battle between the Eastern and Western Conference. Instead, Breanna Stewart will lead her squad against A’ja Wilson’s All-Stars. Which captain picked the better team? We’ll find out with my Team Stewart vs. Team Wilson pick.
The WNBA has followed this format since 2018. Last season, the WNBA All-Stars battled Team USA. Will we see another exciting matchup? Let’s found out all about it with my 2022 WNBA All-Star game pick and prediction.
Team Stewart vs. Team Wilson Odds for 2022 WNBA All-Star Game
Sportsbook | Team Stewart | Team Wilson | Bonus Offered |
Bovada | (-125) | (+105) | 50% up to $250 |
BetOnline | (-125) | (+105) | 60% up to $1,000 |
BetUS | (-1.5) (-110) | (+1.5) (-110) | 125% up to $2,500 |
MyBookie | (-125) | (+105) | 100% up to $1,000 |
BetUS doesn’t have odds for the moneyline, but the best basketball sportsbooks give Team Stewart a slight advantage. Do you agree with the Team Stewart vs. Team Wilson betting odds?
Typically, I’d talk about the betting trends for each team, but that’s tough to do with the All-Star Game. We should see a close game, as the last seven All-Star Games haven’t seen a margin bigger than nine points.
This is interesting because we’ve never seen a WNBA All-Star Game with more than 255 points. The 2022 WNBA All-Star Game will feature special rules.
There’ll be a four-point line, a 20-second shot clock, and automatic free throws. Those factors will lead to more points. Is it enough for your Team Stewart vs. Team Wilson prediction to take the over?
Team Stewart Preview
Breanna Stewart will be an All-Star team captain for the first time. The 2018 WNBA MVP is having another great season, leading the WNBA with 21.0 points per game. She has been the driving force behind a strong season from the Seattle Storm.
Stewart’s top-three picks included Jackie Young, Jonquel Jones, and Sabrina Ionescu. Young is teammates with fellow team captain A’ja Wilson, so that should be a fun back-and-forth.
Jones hasn’t replicated her 2021 MVP season, but she continues to play at an All-Star level. Ionescu could be the player to shift your Team Stewart vs. Team Wilson betting pick, but she won’t play for Team Stewart after a trade. That’s too bad considering her recent performance against Wilson.
THE FIRST 30-POINT TRIPLE-DOUBLE IN @WNBA HISTORY 🤩@sabrina_i20 powers the Liberty over the Aces in historic fashion! pic.twitter.com/Qm6eu2ymF9
— ESPN (@espn) July 7, 2022
She went toe-to-toe with Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces, recording a 30-point triple-double. She’ll be ready to showcase her skillset in her first All-Star Game appearance.
Skylar Diggins-Smith is another player on Team Stewart’s roster having a great season. The 31-year-old is averaging 18.9 points. That would be the second-highest mark of her nine-year career. This will be her sixth All-Star Game appearance.
Which other players will factor into your 2022 WNBA All-Star game pick today? Take a look at the remainder of the roster.
- Jewell Lloyd
- Kahleah Copper
- Alyssa Thomas
- Arike Ogunbowale
- Emma Meesseman
- Nneka Ogwumike
- Sue Bird
I truly believe Arike Ogunbowale may be the most underrated player in the WNBA. She was the 17th pick in a 20-player draft for the All-Star Game. She’s one of the league’s top scorers in 2022, averaging 19.5 points on 37.2 percent three-point shooting.
We had to save the best for last. Sue Bird will make her 13th WNBA All-Star Game appearance in her final season. Will her presence impact your Team Stewart vs. Team Wilson prediction?
Team Wilson Preview
A’ja Wilson will be a team captain for the second time. She led her team to a 129-126 victory over Team Delle Donne in 2019. Can she overcome the Team Stewart vs. Team Wilson odds?
Wilson held the first pick, selecting Candace Parker. Parker won her second championship with the Chicago Sky last season. She has Chicago playing at a high level, as they hold the best record in the WNBA.
Wilson followed the selection with fellow Las Vegas Ace Kelsey Plum. Plum won Sixth Woman of the Year in 2021 but she has her sights set on MVP. She and Wilson should battle as they lead the Aces.

Plum and Sabrina Ionescu are the first-time All-Stars for Team Wilson. They may not have experience, but I expect both players to play a vital role for Team Wilson.
Five of the six players on the bench for Team Wilson have been in the All-Star Game. The lone player making her first appearance off the bench is Rhyne Howard.
The Atlanta Dream traded up to select Howard with the No. 1 pick. Howard’s WNBA career is off to an impressive start.
- 15.1 points
- 4.5 rebounds
- 2.6 assists
- 1.5 steals
Atlanta has cooled off following a great start, but Howard remains one of the top players. This is only the start of a career that’ll include many All-Star Game appearances. How will she factor into your 2022 WNBA All-Star game betting pick?
Sylvia Fowles is the veteran for Team Wilson. She’ll make her seventh All-Star Game in her 15th season. Fowles holds the career record with 9.8 rebounds per game. The 36-year-old may not have many All-Star Games in her future. Can she make this one count?
2022 WNBA All-Star Game Prediction and Pick
It’s never easy to pick the winner for the All-Star Game. Typically, it’s best to choose the team that presents value. That’s not entirely why I’m picking Team Wilson, but it plays a factor.
Team Wilson’s starting lineup has four players you can make an MVP case for. The Sabrina Ionescu trade puts them over the top. That’s why my free Team Stewart vs. Team Wilson pick gives them the upper hand.
