Betting Picks for the 2021 NASCAR Quaker State 400

| July 9, 2021 5:27 am PDT

Kyle Larson tops the odds for the 2021 Quaker State 400 ahead of the mid-summer race at Atlanta this Sunday, July 11.

Larson didn’t have the best of times last weekend at Wisconsin but will be looking to make up for that with a commanding performance here. NASCAR betting sites see “Yung Money” as the man to beat, with road course king Chase Elliott some way off as the second favorite.

I’ll be discussing my predictions and picks for the Quaker State 400 in this betting preview of the clash at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. So, if you’re looking to win money wagering on the Cup Series this weekend, keep reading, and this will hopefully help.

First up, how about a look at the odds?

A full list of the latest NASCAR odds for the Quaker State 400 is available at BetOnline.

As you can see, there are just four drivers priced under +1000 ahead of Sunday’s race. Alongside what should be the most popular Quaker State 400 betting pick for Sunday’s race are Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Chase Eliott, and Martin Truex Jr.

All four drivers will have their backers, of course, but finding value in betting odds should be at the forefront of your mind ahead of this race.

Let’s move on to my NASCAR tips for this weekend.

2021 Quaker State 400 Betting Tips

  • Where: Atlanta Motor Speedway
  • When: Sunday, July 11

It’s so tough to look past Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott ahead of this Sunday’s race.

But when it comes to betting value for NASCAR at Atlanta, gamblers should consider alternative wagers.

This season has been crazy in so many ways. We’ve seen early-campaign upsets give way to the dominance of Elliott and Larson, with drivers such as Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick lukewarm, to say the least.

The odds for Harvick, Hamlin, and Martin Truex Jr. will be popular. And for a good reason. But I think the first of those three should be among the top betting picks for the Quaker State 400, in anyone’s book.

Since February 2018, Harvick has the best record at Atlanta of any active driver on the oval. He has two wins from this last four starts here, with an average finish of 4.00 from four races, and has posted just one finish outside of the top-10 in the last ten years.

Truex boasts a record of 4.75 from his last four, with three top-5s in that timeframe. The former champ has suffered a little decline in form, with 3rd at Sonoma his best result following three early Cup Series wins. Still, I wouldn’t write him off.

A driver I really like the look of, however, is Alex Bowman. Three wins so far this season have catapulted him into championship contention. He has the car, the speed, and the form to be a real standout this Sunday and is excellent value at +1600.

In my betting tips for this week’s NASCAR, I recommend looking at the following three drivers.

  • Martin Truex Jr. (+900)
  • Kevin Harvick (+1000)
  • Alex Bowman (+1600)

Now, for my top pick for the Quaker State 400.

Top Quaker State 400 Betting Pick for 2021

  • Kevin Harvick

If you had expected my Quaker State 400 predictions to feature Harvick, it’s clear you appreciate how dangerous “The Closer” is on this track.

Although he finished 10th in Atlanta in 2021, the track has been good to Harvick in recent times. In 2020, the veteran driver scored first place at the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500, and as mentioned in my betting tips for the Quaker State 400, he has been the coolest hand here in recent times.

According to my NASCAR predictions for this weekend, Harvick takes the win in Atlanta.
