Betting Preview for the 2021 NASCAR Foxwoods Casino Resort 301

| July 16, 2021 4:29 am PDT

Betting on the Foxwoods Casino Resort 301 this Sunday? Good. I have a lot to cover here.

NASCAR odds for the Cup Series’ latest race are tight at the top end of the spectrum. There is little to separate Kyle Larson, Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, and a couple of others as playoffs season approaches.

I’ll be talking odds for the Foxwoods Casino Resort 301 today, as well as my predictions and pick for the race. If you want a little advice before you place your wagers, stick around.

So, how about those odds ahead of the big clash at New Hampshire Motor Speedway?

You can find odds for the Foxwoods Casino Resort 301 by visiting the top NASCAR betting sites.

Regardless of who you bet with, it’s looking pretty tight. There are strong cases to be made for several drivers ahead of Sunday’s race, further proving that it will not be for the faint-hearted.

Kyle Larson will be the go-to guy once more for many bettors. But as I’ll discuss in my NASCAR betting tips for the Foxwoods Casino Resort 301, there is better value elsewhere.

Let’s move on.

Betting Tips for the Foxwoods Casino Resort 301

  • Where: New Hampshire Motor Speedway
  • When: Sunday, July 18

Things are hotting up ahead of the playoffs, and this could lead to some panic at NHMS.

Larson is a driver you cannot ignore. He has enjoyed an awesome season to date and will fancy his chances of bettering the three 2nd places he has scored at this track. In the #5, he has to be considered among the favorites for this race.

With that in mind, I’m looking towards in-form, seasoned vets with good track records here, hence why Martin Truex Jr. has come to mind.

Truex was third at Atlanta last week but was penalized before the race. This led to him starting at the rear of the field. Still, overall he is performing to a good standard. His odds, however, are let down by the fact that he has never won at New Hampshire, even if his consistency since Feb. 2018 has been impressive.

Truex has two top-5s and four top-10s from his last three starts here, which takes his average finish in that time to 4.33.

Not bad at all.

Chase Elliott is a driver I really like for this race. Although his record here isn’t great, he has one top-5 and two top-10s from his last three starts here. Throw in his form and the fact that he appears to be peaking, and we have ourselves a worthy contender at good odds.

Kevin Harvick’s four wins at NHMS make him the top active driver here, but good form has been a little elusive this season. The 2020 NASCAR Regular Season champion has failed to win a single race in 2021 yet is still tempting at +1200.

With all that in mind, my recommended picks for the 2021 Foxwoods Casino Resort 301 are as follows.

  • Martin Truex Jr. (+500)
  • Chase Elliott (+800)
  • Kevin Harvick (+1200)

Best Pick for the Foxwoods Casino Resort (2021)

  • Chase Elliott

By Race 22 last year, Chase Elliott had just the one Cup Series victory under his belt.

He has two in 21 so far but has shown a lot of consistency. At odds of +800 to win the 2021 Foxwoods Casino Resort 301, he looks like serious value.

The reigning Cup Series champion posted 7th in Atlanta, taking the checkered flag at the 2021 Jockey Made in America 250 the week before. I’m feeling his chances are more Road America than Atlanta and can see him pushing his way to another vital victory in defense of his first crown.

I’ll happily take Elliott for the win.

Chase Elliott’s odds to win the 2021 Foxwoods Casino Resort look pretty good to me.

But don’t overlook Martin Truex Jr. or Kevin Harvick ahead of Sunday’s race. Of course, Kyle Larson will be the man many will be looking toward, but I don’t see it being his day.

With that in mind, I’m signing off. But make sure to check out our NASCAR picks section for more bets.

When you’ve done that, I’d recommend reading Nick Sterling’s mid-season review of the Cup Series. He makes some good points in this piece.

Until next time!
