Predictions and Pick for the 2021 NASCAR Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500

I spent a bit of time mulling over the latest betting odds for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 today.

The good news is that I have arrived at a few predictions for the Cup Series race at Atlanta this Sunday, March 21. I’ll be sharing those with you a little later, as well as my QuikTrip 500 pick.

2020 Regular Season winner Kevin Harvick tops the latest NASCAR odds ahead of this weekend’s race. Harvick is the betting favorite to win the 2021 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500, just ahead of the likes of Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Larson, and Brad Keselowski.

The defending Cup Series king is also in the mix. But are the odds for Chase Elliott to win NASCAR’s QuikTrip 500 worth the punt? 

Join me as I look at the contenders’ odds for the 2021 edition at Atlanta this Sunday. If you’re betting on the race, my 2021 QuikTrip 500 predictions will come in handy.

Let’s start with those odds.

I’m sharing the top ten favorites for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 this Sunday. You can, of course, find a full list of drivers’ odds for the Cup Series race in Atlanta on our best NASCAR betting sites. 

The odds above are the best 2021 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 odds I have come across thus far.

I’m not surprised to see Harvick as the betting favorite for the race, but I’m not so sure about a couple of the other favorites on the list above.

I’ll be making my Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 betting pick a little later. I’d like you to check out a few of the contenders, as well as some of my QuikTrip 500 predictions before I make the big reveal.

Let’s move on.

Looking ahead to Sunday’s race, it’s clear that some drivers are in better shape than others. 

But of all of the contenders for the QuikTrip 500 in this betting preview, there are a few that I’m not completely sold on. As such, it’s probably smart to quickly rule out a few drivers now, before I get into who you should look at. 

First, I’m making my intentions known straight off the bat where Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, and Joey Logano are concerned. I don’t like any of these guys for Sunday’s race and don’t class them among the drivers with the best value odds for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.

Last year’s edition was won by Kevin Harvick. I’m going to stop short of making my Harvick predictions for the QuikTrip 500, but I will say that he is in the mix with the following guys.

Will Truex win the 2021 QuikTrip 500?

That’s the question we all want to be answered following his win at the 2021 Instacart 500 at Phoenix last weekend. 

It’s great to see such promising early-season form like this from the 28-time Cup Series race winner. Can he keep it up?

Keselowski’s record at Atlanta reads 1, 2, 1, 9 from his last four Cup Series starts. 

That’s a seriously good return for the 2012 Sprint Series king. 

Given his average finish of 14.58 from an average start of 15.00 from 12 starts here, Keselowski’s odds for the 2021 QuikTrip 500 are worth a look.

If you’ve been studying the odds for betting on the 2021 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500, Busch might have caught your eye. 

Busch finished 2nd in last year’s edition of the race and has two wins at Atlanta from 22 starts. 

At odds of +1000, Busch is a contender with real betting value for the NASCAR this weekend.

To take Harvick’s odds to win the QuikTrip 500 might require some faith following his timid start to the 2021 Cup Series. 

Or, at least, that’s how things might seem. In reality, Harvick has been fairly consistent so far this year. For the most part, he has been there or thereabouts. What he needs is that one victory to kickstart his season, and I think he gets it in Atlanta this weekend.

Harvick’s record in 2021 reads as follows.

Harvick’s record at Atlanta since February 2018 makes him the best active driver on the track. 

With two wins and three top-5s from his last three starts here, the “Happy” one looks good to me. It’s all about getting off to the right start and keeping a steady pace. If there is anyone to bet on for the 2021 QuikTrip 500 that matches that description, he’s your guy.

You can get odds of +160 for Harvick to finish in the top three. That’s a solid bet, too.

It’s time to put a line under my predictions for the 2021 QuikTrip 500. I expect it to be contested between four drivers, with Harvick winning the arm wrestle. 

Therefore, my Folds of Honor betting pick for 2021 is Kevin Harvick.
