This betting preview will also contain some valuable driver histories for Dover, as well as key betting trends that should help you choose the right wagers on the day.
Of course, I’ll be dropping some other NASCAR gambling tips for you to take in. And yes, that includes my betting pick for the 2021 Drydene 400.
So, buckle in, and let’s get things up and running with a look at the odds for Sunday’s Cup Series race.
Latest Drydene 400 Odds for 2021
Denny Hamlin is the joint betting favorite for the 2021 Drydene 400.
Hamlin sits atop the Cup Series leaderboard with nine top-5s this season. He is still yet to win his first race of the campaign, despite some very positive showings in 2021.
Alongside Hamlin at +600, we have last week’s Goodyear 400 winner, Martin Truex Jr. He’s taken the pole for NASCAR at Dover this Sunday and will be confident of winning his fourth race this season.
From there, it’s essentially a case of taking your pick.
Defending Cup Series champion Chase Elliott is just behind Hamlin and Truex at +650, while Kyle Larson (+700), Joey Logano (+800), and Kyle Busch (+8000) will all be popular bets for the Drydene 400 in 2021.
2021 Drydene 400 Betting Tips
- Where: Dover International Speedway, Delaware
- When: Sunday, May 16
If you’re looking for gambling tips for NASCAR at Dover, I have you covered.
I have done my homework on this race, taking previous track records, current form, and a few other factors into the equation. The goal is to provide you with Drydene 400 betting tips that give you a heads up on what to expect before you choose your wagers, so it’s best to be thorough.
With all considered, there are my top three potential winners of the 2021 Drydene 400 this Sunday.
- Martin Truex Jr.
- Kyle Larson
- Kevin Harvick
You can’t look past Truex to win the Drydene 400.
The 2017 Cup Series champion has already picked up three wins this season and has been in scintillating form. He has the momentum behind him ahead of Sunday’s clash at Dover, as well as a solid record at “The Monster Mile.”
Alongside three wins at Dover, Truex has multiple top-5s here over the years. Impressively, he has finished no worse than 4th in eight of his last nine races, including two wins. The 40-year-old has also finished runner-up in the last three races on the track.
Next up is Kyle Larson, who won the 2019 edition of this race for Chip Ganassi.
Larson’s last appearance at Dover followed his controversial suspension partway through the 2020 Cup Series season. Now with Hendrick Motorsports, Larson will be looking for win number two at Dover and an upgrade to his already impressive average finish of 7.42 on the famous track.
Finally, we have Kevin Harvick.
I’m recommending a closer look at Harvick’s odds to win the Drydene 400, given that he has been in steady form as of late. Unfortunate not to have picked up his first victory of the season, “The Closer” will be pumped for Sunday’s race.
Harvick has wins from two of his last six starts at Dover, including last year’s edition of this event, and is great odds at +900 for the victory this Sunday.

I’ll be shortly covering my betting pick for the Drydene 400, but it’s worth checking out the information above before we get to that.
As mentioned above, Harvick is the defending champion of this race. As such, it isn’t easy to look past him for the 2021 edition, given his solid odds and impressive overall track history.
But, history doesn’t always repeat itself in NASCAR. As much as it helps to have a sense of who and what works at Dover, the bigger picture is what you should be focusing on.
All things considered, here’s my pick for the Drydene 400…
2021 Drydene 400 Pick
Larson is my pick to win NASCAR at Dover this Sunday, May 16.
Runner-up in last weekend’s race at Darlington, Larson will be gunning to cross the line first this time around.
With one Cup Series win to his name thus far, “Yung Money” is guaranteed a playoff place. But with loftier ambitions than scraping by, expect the Californian to make his expert knowledge of this track count on the day.
Larson’s odds to win the Drydene 400 are good value at +700. That swings it for me.
