Predictions and Picks for the 2021 F1 Bahrain Grand Prix

| March 24, 2021 11:11 am PDT

In case you didn’t know, the green light for Formula 1 bets for the Bahrain Grand Prix is beaming.

I’ll be sharing the best odds for the 2021 F1 Bahrain Grand Prix, as well as my predictions and betting pick for Bahrain. Furthermore, I’ll be looking at key drivers ahead of the F1 season opener at the International Circuit this Sunday, March 28, and sharing some Bahrain GP betting tips to help you wager on the race.

If you’re betting real money on the 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix, I have you covered. However, if you’re a little out of the loop, my 2021 F1 betting preview will fill you in on the state of play ahead of the championship. It will also provide you with a little info on who has the momentum heading into the new season.

Let’s start my preview for betting on the Bahrain GP with the odds for this weekend’s race.

Latest 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix Odds

The best odds have come across for the Bahrain Grand Prix this weekend so far can be found over at Bovada.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is the favorite to win the 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix.

I’m keen to see how the youngster does this season, especially with Sergio Perez joining him on the grid. I recently discussed my predictions for the Bahrain Grand Prix with a friend and am not surprised to see last year’s runner-up in the top two with the bookies.

As you can see, Mercedes legend Lewis Hamilton is just behind Verstappen as the second betting favorite for Bahrain. Can the Brit get off to a good start in the Arabian Gulf and throw down the marker for the rest of the season?

Hamilton’s odds to win the Bahrain GP certainly suggest that the bookies are unsure. Perhaps they are flip-flopping over the possibility of poor pre-season testing for Hamilton and Mercedes being nothing more than sandbagging.

Elsewhere, Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas, Red Bull’s Perez, and McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo make up the top five betting favorites for the F1 this Sunday.

Best Bets for the 2021 Bahrain GP

  • Winner – Lewis Hamilton
  • Pole – Max Verstappen
  • Fastest Lap – Max Verstappen
  • Podium – Sebastian Vettel
  • Dark Horse – Charles Leclerc

If you’re looking for betting tips for the Bahrain Grand Prix in 2021, I’d suggest taking a moment to look at the names above.

My betting pick for the 2021 Bahrain GP is Lewis Hamilton. Like the bookies, I’m not completely sold on the idea that pre-season practice gave us the full picture of Mercedes’ chances this year. Therefore, expect a big effort from Hamilton before the game-changing rules kick in next season.

More on that shortly. Moving on to other Bahrain GP predictions, I’m convinced that Max Verstappen will clinch the pole and register the fastest lap two years in a row. If the odds are good enough when the top F1 betting sites release the Formula 1 prop bets and specials, get on it.

Four-time Drivers’ Championship titlist Sebastian Vettel can breathe again under Aston Martin. I think he’s a great shout to make the podium in a race that he has won four times. A record he shares with rival Lewis Hamilton.

Finally, keep an eye on Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. At odds of +8000 to win the race, the bookies aren’t mega keen on him taking his first F1 victory since 2019’s Italian Grand Prix. Still, he could be worth a shout for a top-3 finish at these odds, or, to the more conservative bettor, a top-6.

Especially since he won here in 2017.

Why Hamilton Wins the 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix

The majority of F1 fans want a genuine title fight this year.

With that said, Britons want a chance to see their own Lewis Hamilton immortalized as the G.O.A.T of the sport.

It all begins this weekend in Bahrain. This is a very comfortable track for the 36-year-old, given that he has won it on four separate occasions, including 2020 and 2019. There is talk over his future, but I don’t see that affecting the reigning champion.

If there is one thing that could throw Hamilton off this Sunday, it is how constructors approach balancing the 2021 season with the major changes coming next year. Mercedes could do worse than throw everything behind Hamilton’s bid for greatness, and I expect his commitment to a new deal leverages just how much they are willing to sacrifice for him.

My betting pick for the Bahrain Grand Prix in 2021 is a win for Lewis Hamilton. I’m predicting Max Verstappen to finish second, with Valtteri Bottas in third.
