Odds Released for a Will Smith vs. Chris Rock Boxing Match

| March 29, 2022 11:19 am PDT
  • Will Smith and Chris Rock have been priced up for a potential boxing match.
  • Smith slapped Rock onstage at last weekend’s Grammy Awards.
  • The “Ali” star took umbrage against a joke Rock made about Jada Pinkett-Smith.

If you would have suggested that odds for a fight between Will Smith and Chris Rock would have been on the cards in 2022, I probably wouldn’t have blinked.

As the world continues to spiral into utter madness, we have yet another celebrity boxing match to ponder. Well, that is if Smith and Rock decide to settle their differences inside the ring. You can bet on Smith vs. Rock with Sportsbetting.ag right now.

If not, let’s see what the odds for Will Smith vs. Chris Rock look like.

Wow. Since Will Smith slapped Chris Rock like Rick James at the China Club, it’s fair to say his cred as a fighter has hit new heights.

In short, the odds for Chris Rock beating Will Smith in a celebrity boxing match are wider than the Suez Canal. You don’t need an introduction to sports betting to understand that these odds imply that — should a fight between Smith and Rock go down — Chris is getting whooped!

Why? Well, he seemed to take Will Smith’s punch like a man. But it wasn’t really a punch, was it? It was more of a slap.

Everyone might love Chris, but he has a real enemy now in Smith. Or, so some would have you believe. But it almost reminded me of that scene from The Nutty Professor when Eddie Murphy stepped on stage to give a physical beatdown in front of, you guessed it, Jada Pinkett Smith.

Some believe Smith’s attack on Rock was fake. Does this mean a fight won’t happen?

Was Will Smith’s Slap on Chris Rock Scripted?

The world of show business is full of weirdos, whackos, and wily behavior.

Smith was defending his wife’s honor. According to reports, Jada suffers from alopecia. If Rock knew this and still made a joke about her playing the next “G.I. Jane,” it could be interpreted as a little tasteless.

Imagine that — a comedian making jokes. Next time, they should let Tyson Fury host the awards and say whatever he wants. Or how about Conor McGregor? I wonder how that would end up.

Smith has since apologized to Rock. He indicated that violence was not the answer, and his reaction was purely emotional.

“Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally.”Will Smith

Uncle Phil would not have been happy.

Although the Smith slap on Rock did appear to be scripted, the presenter appeared to be shaken. It wasn’t a punch, of course. He wasn’t…rocked. Heh. But why did the security not intervene? Even though Rock refused to press charges, why wasn’t Smith arrested for assault?

Still, his reaction suggested that he was not expecting to be challenged to a duel in front of millions of viewers.

Especially by someone who played Muhammad Ali in a movie.

Will a Smith vs. Rock Boxing Match Happen?

Although bets for a Will Smith vs. Chris Rock boxing match have already been placed, can you see it happening?

There are only two scenarios where these guys step into the ropes. One would be to settle a beef. The other would be for charity. Now, what charity out there could benefit from these two guys getting it on in the squared circle?

The answer is many. But the most obvious would be something to do with alopecia.

Jake Paul, master of the celebrity fights, has offered $15 million to stage the bout. So, how about it, guys? Lace up those gloves and do raise some funds for a worthy cause. Or just meet each other in a secluded spot and, erm, hug it out.
