Odds and Prediction for the Dow Jones Closing Price on July 31, 2022

- Bettors can potentially make a profit gambling on the closing Dow Jones price at end of day on July 31, 2022.
- The line has been set at 31455.5, with the option to place wagers at over or under that price.
- With rising inflation and higher costs of food and fuel, speculators are predicting a dire U.S. economic situation in the near future.
It’s bordering on the macabre to bet on the Dow Jones price as a means of entertainment. Especially when things aren’t exactly what you could call rosy right now.
Still, some of the top real money gambling sites are inviting bettors to predict the closing price of the Dow Jones on the final day of trading in July. Odds for the Dow Jones closing price on July 31, 2022, have hit the board, with the line set at a modest 31455.5. I’m certainly interested to see what that final figure will be, with grim forecasts suggesting that the country may be approaching an economic downward spiral over the course of the next few months.
Looking to make money from betting on the Dow Jones? This next market might be of interest.
Betting Odds for the Dow Jones Closing Price on July 31, 2022
- Over 31455.5 (-115)
- Under 31455.5 (-115)
I’ve taken the odds above from the BetUS sportsbook.
You’ll find a wide range of financial markets proposed by the oddsmakers on that site over the course of the year. And beyond that, too. But the most interesting figures I have seen in quite some time pertain to the closing price of the Dow Jones at the end of trading on the final day of the month.
For those who don’t know, but are interested, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has been a barometer of the stock market and the economy. It’s essentially a price-weighted average of all 30 leading blue-chip stocks, which are typically the foremost companies in their respective industries.
Bookmakers have been providing odds for the closing price of the stock at any given month, for some time. But with major question marks over the economy, it might be fair to say that it has seldom been a more interesting time to get involved.
Dow Jones Predictions for July 1, 2022
While it’s effectively a guessing game on ice, predicting what the Dow Jones will close at on the final day of trading this month could pay off.
As I write this, things are not looking great for the economy. Just a matter of hours ago, stock indexes in the United States tumbled on account of an exposition in mixed earnings reports. Traders are playing it cool on account of the Federal Reserve’s meeting later this week. This sentiment has been compounded by the expected key tech earnings reports that are set to drop in the next few days.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.7 of a percentage, while the S&P 500 saw a 1.2% drop. The Nasdaq Composite also saw a significant decline, falling 1.9%. All indexes had opened in the red at first bell, with little trading done outside of the narrow range.
One of the major stories of the day was Walmart’s shares falling by 7.6% following their assertion that the rising cost of essentials would lead to customers spending less. This knock-on effect also saw Kohl’s and ‘s Target’s prices slip.
With the economy feeling as though it’s on a fast, downward trajectory, it’s unlikely that we will see much change between now and the end of the month. With August approaching, which is a month that scares investors but was once the best month to own stocks, I’d lean toward the under.
At odds of -115, it might feel like a flip of a coin. But still, under 31455.5 makes sense. By all means, feel free to compare these odds over at the best US betting sites. I haven’t found a better line than the one above, but perhaps you can.
