Play’n GO Releases Def Leppard: Hysteria Slot Online

| April 8, 2022 2:17 pm PDT
  • The 80’s hair metal rockers are the latest band to be featured in their own slot.
  • Play’n GO is hoping the new game catches on with music fans.
  • “Hysteria” joins a growing number of band-themed slots released by the developer.

Music-themed slots can be hit and miss.

Although one of the most popular variants found on the top online slots casinos, some are more memorable than others. For instance, the Elvis slot is one of the very first in its field and is still a go-to for slots players around the world.

The Jimi Hendrix and Guns N’ Roses games have also retained their popularity over the years. What all three artists above have in common is a mass appeal and a great back catalog of sounds to accompany gameplay.

Will this latest Def Leppard-themed game hit the mark? It’s hard to say.

Who is Behind the Def Leppard Slot?

Play n’GO is one of the more recognizable software developers out there.

One of the original pioneers of the video slot genre, the Swedish-founded company provides hundreds of titles to online casinos around the world. With an extensive library of games to play — spearheaded by their popular Book of Dead titles — they tend to do pretty well, too.

One of the most ambitious campaigns in their history has been moving into the music-slot genre. As it stands, Def Leppard is just one of many classic rock and metal slots to feature in its ever-expanding library.

The British outfit, who reached stardom with their Hysteria album, joins the exclusive club of Play n’GO’s music-themed slots alongside the following.

    • KISS Reels of Rock
    • Snakebite
    • ZZ Top Roadside Riches
    • House of Doom 2: The Crypt
    • Saxon
    • Twisted Sister
    • Annihilator
    • Testament
    • Black Mamba
    • Demon
    • Sabaton
    • House of Doom

That’s a pretty solid list right there.

You would expect the likes of KISS to market anything they can fit a price tag on, including image rights for slots. But some of the metal bands on the list above are not exactly what you would have thought would be a success in the world of casino slots.

What Can Fans Expect from the Def Leopard Slot?

Having tried it out for myself, it’s basically what you would expect from a game in this genre.

You get some Def Leppard music thrown in with some cool colors, bonus rounds, and engaging graphics. I wouldn’t call myself a fan of the band, so this slot might not be one to remember.

Especially as the band is nowhere to be seen in the game.

I’m sure this won’t be a huge letdown, but it does differ from some of the other titles out there that depict the likes of Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osborne, and Guns n’ Roses in play.

If you are a diehard “Leppard Head” and want to try it out, feel free to get stuck in. If you’re a complete novice when it comes to slots, the following guide will help you learn the ropes.
