WWE Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match 2020 – Odds, Prediction, and Betting Pick
Six fighters will battle it out to win the Men’s Ladder Match at WWE Money in the Bank 2020 on Sunday. But who will be the first to get their hands on the coveted briefcase?
AJ Styles, Aleister Black, Otis, Daniel Bryan, King Corbin, and Rey Mysterio will all take part in the main event at this year’s MITB. But there can only be one winner.
In this post, I look at the odds and assess each fighters’ chances before sharing my pick at the end.
Let’s get stuck into my WWE Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match betting preview.
MITB Men’s Ladder Match Betting Odds
Here are the latest odds for the Men’s Ladder Match at Money in the Bank 2020.
The leading WWE betting sites are siding with AJ Styles at the moment. However, with six men competing, it’s definitely worth considering some of the other names on the list.
Will AJ Styles Live Up to His Favorite Tag?
After Apollo Crews was ruled out of Money in the Bank 2020 with an injury, AJ Styles appeared on the most recent episode of Raw and booked his place in the Ladder Match.
Despite being buried alive by The Undertaker in the Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36, Styles has come from nowhere to make himself the bookies’ favorite to win this year’s main MITB event.
He may have qualified at the eleventh hour, but it’s easy to see why Styles comes into this match as the favorite. It’s time that he re-establishes himself on WWE’s flagship show, and a win at MITB will set him up nicely for a starring role on Raw over the next few months.
It’s pretty clear that Styles is going to be one of the red brand’s key figures this year, so winning the briefcase will stand him in good stead for future fights.
Aleister Black to Clinch the Title?
It’s no surprise that Aleister Black is expected to have a big say in the outcome of this match. “The Dutch Destroyer” has been one of the most consistent fighters of late, and he has some momentum behind him.
Black took out Austin Theory to earn his spot at MITB, and the former NXT Champion has been building up a head of steam ever since.
Granted, he hasn’t exactly set the wrestling world alight since his call up to the main roster. But a place in the Ladder Match provides Black with the perfect opportunity to take his career to the next level.
Is Otis a Genuine Contender?
Otis was one of the last fighters to book their place at MITB, defeating Dolph Ziggler on the May 1 edition of SmackDown to make the cut.
There is no denying that the Heavy Machinery star will play an important role in this match, but his inclusion does seem a little strange. After all, Otis is already involved in a big storyline with Mandy Rose.
His love affair with Rose has absolutely nothing to do with pursuing a title, so I don’t see why WWE would want Otis to trouble the main contenders on Sunday.
Can Daniel Bryan Cause a Stir?
Daniel Bryan was the first man to punch his ticket to the Ladder Match. The former Grand Slam Champion saw off Cesaro last month on SmackDown, but he isn’t expected to cause the frontrunners too many problems.
Bryan was victorious at Money in the Bank 2011, so it’s likely that someone else will be given the chance to win the title this time around.
While you can’t completely rule him out, I do believe there are more worthy winners. Bryan hasn’t done a lot lately, so it would be slightly odd if he stole the show.
Then again, stranger things have happened.
Will King Corbin Be Crowned Champion?
Corbin is another previous MITB champion, winning the WWE Championship Match In 2017. But unlike Bryan, Corbin has been given a considerable amount of airtime recently.
Although he was defeated by Elias at SmackDown 36, Corbin has been a prominent figure of late and qualified for the Ladder Match with a convincing victory over Drew Gulak.
Still, Corbin hasn’t been pushed for a title challenge yet, so this could be the ideal chance for WWE to hand him a big win.
Does Rey Mysterio Stand a Chance?
Does Rey Mysterio really stand a chance here? In my opinion, he has only been included in this match to make up the numbers, and it’s hardly surprising that you can get odds of +1200 for him to win.
Sure, he is one of the most well-known and respected competitors that WWE has ever seen. But with his best years behind him, he doesn’t need the win right now.
MITB Men’s Ladder Match Prediction and Pick
I can’t see Otis, Bryan, or Mysterio reaching the briefcase first. None of them fit the bill, so I think we can discount them right off the bat.
Admittedly, I was seriously tempted by the sky-high price for Corbin to win. He has been ruffling a few feathers recently, and odds of +800 are very attractive.
Styles qualified late for this match and instantly became the favorite to win. However, I’m backing Black to come out on top.
The Dutch Destroyer deserves a title a shot, and I can see him getting the better of his rivals on this occasion.
Considering that Black has been in good form recently, +200 is an excellent price.
