Which NBA Team Will Sign Serge Ibaka for the 2021 Season?

The Raptors got what they wanted out of Serge Ibaka. The DR Congo native helped deliver an NBA championship to the city of Toronto, and Ibaka was well compensated for his contributions.
However, now that’s Serge’s three-year/$65 million contract has terminated, the unrestricted free agent is looking for a new home. As far as which teams Ibaka could sign with, let’s take a look.
Odds for Where Is Serge Ibaka Going to Sign?
The rumors surrounding “Ibaka to the Lakers” have been swirling since mid-October when LA secured the title. Nevertheless, speculations that Ibaka could reunite with Kevin Durant are genuine.

A move to Brooklyn seems to be logical, and there’s a good chance Ibaka could flourish in a Steve Nash-coached offense. Whether or not Brooklyn will have the cap space to execute this move – that’s the biggest question. Plus, it may be more beneficial for the Nets to concentrate on retaining Joe Harris.
The Knicks could use some size to plug in next to Julius Randle, and it’s evident that one of the Charlotte Hornets biggest needs is to acquire a proven post player. It goes without saying that the Pelicans franchise would love to bring in a proven commodity like Ibaka to mentor Zion Williamson.
Consider the Heat and the Warriors outsiders.
Could Serge Ibaka Re-sign With the Raptors?
According to the odds at the safest betting sites, it’s entirely conceivable. With that being said, it’s highly unlikely both Fred VanVleet and Serge Ibaka are retained. It’s more than possible that neither returns to Toronto.
The Raptors appear hellbent on at least making a run at Giannis Antetokounmpo (in 2021), and that means clearing as much cap space as humanly possible.
In the end, I bet that Serge Ibaka signs with a new team.
Where Will Serge Ibaka Play Next Season?
The Hornets can throw a bunch of cash his way. Serge is comfortable in Toronto, New Orleans makes sense, and Ibaka could easily be swayed toward in New York.
But once LeBron steps in and flashes all of his jewelry, can Serge really turn down an offer to play with the King in La La Land?
Dwight Howard is on his way out, and Anthony Davis could use a sidekick on the opposite side of the block.
Frankly, the question to ask might not be if Serge Ibaka will sign with the Lakers. The better inquiry might be, when does it happen.
